All White
I’ve always wanted to go on a ski trip. Not that I would know how to ski, but the sight of those picturesque snowcapped mountains and staying in comfortable, warm log cabins are enough for me to have the perfect holiday. Happy Things
I keep on hearing Duncan Sheik’s voice in my head “I’m on a high, on a high ….” and can’t agree more with him. I’m so happy and excited about the following: (regardless how big or small they are)
- We’re going to Baguio this weekend so I’m busy searching the web for nice hotels where we can stay. Sadly, The Manor is fully booked because of their buy one take one promo
- I’ve finished Harry Potter book 1 to 4 and now started reading book 5. I haven’t seen this on the big screen, which makes reading it more exciting. I’m still on the first few chapters and love how everything seems dark, scary and not at all cheery.
- Just added all my blogging earnings for this month and was surprised to know that I earned more than my usual quota. I always appreciate a pleasant surprise every now and then
- More design projects coming in. More moolah in the bank.
- The big boss is back so I’m hoping he can straighten up some of the clients’ issues
- Sleeping peacefully and uninterrupted for more than seven hours
There were a few down moments but why dwell on them? No use depressing yourself when you can think about good stuff.

Yay! I was able to finish two.
I’ve been feeling really bad about things (see earliest post) so I’ve decided to cheer myself up by making some layouts. Plus, digiscrapping is a good warm up whenever I need to design a website for a client.

Happy Birthday Sandus
Finally, here are the photos from her birthday party playdate 
She only had three boys and her baby girl cousin as guests but it seemed like I was baby-sitting 10 kids, Sandy being the first five. We placed all Sandy’s toys in the kitchen so the kids can play while waiting for the food. I then filled the lootbags with toy story pins, bubble makers and tons of candies. The little girl loved the balloons and the part where we all sang “Happy Birthday”.
She received new books, a dress and a mug from her playmates. Then when all the “guests” left, we opened our gifts for her. They all have the same wrapper LOL because we just had them gift-wrapped at Toy Kingdom.
She knows how to open her gifts; in fact, she didn’t care what was inside as long as she can rip it open.
Taking care of her new baby doll, Bebus. (trivia: Bebus is what The Husband calls me sometimes, hence the name Sandus for the little girl)

Tired and Sleepy
We attended a birthday party in Cavite yesterday. The place where the party was held was so far and reminded me very much of homes in Outer Banks. Woke up at 7am and didn’t come home until 4PM. The little girl was so tired that she slept around 8:30PM last night and been waking up in 2-hour intervals the whole night. I’ll have to remind myself that she’s still a little girl and we can’t drag her around without her much needed nap. She was very tired that she was kicking and slapping whoever’s beside her when she woke up this morning. Poor little one.
Another black cloud - The Husband had an allergy attack again last night that he had to sleep in another room. My poor babies. Which is why I wasn’t looking forward waking up this morning to work. I’m so uninspired to design anything.

Quality Websites
I was chatting with a client recently about mundane things when the topic moved to his business. He said things are not doing very well on his other site so he’s planning to have me re-design it. So I checked his website and instantly noticed how hard it is to navigate from one page to another. He’s selling sexy lingerie, not one of those that you can see on dirty movies but something that you would want to wear on your honeymoon.
Anyway, I listed my recommendations including purchasing a new ecommerce software. I’ve been recommending Ashop Ecommerce to some of my clients because it has every features that you can wish for in a shopping cart. I like how you can customize the design to complement your website’s look and feel. You don’t need any programming knowledge or install software because everything is complete web based. The Little Girl
Taken last Saturday at the Old Spaghetti House. She had her hair in a pony tail here (panggap, kunwari may hair)
She’s all grown up now Has outgrown all her baby clothes, shoes and even some of her toys (car, horse) were now too small for her.
Knows all her colors, alphabets, numbers 1-20
Loves to sing adult songs from moon river to fly me to the moon to ugoy ng duyan, her latest favorite being “don’t you wish your girlfriend was hot like me”
Can pronounce her words very clearly, talks like an adult and can tell people your secrets
Pulls down her panty to pee in her potty
Uses a spoon to feed herself (with a little help from mommy)
Says goodnight, I love you , thank you, excuse me, I’m sorry
She’s not perfect, just so you know. She has a temper, hates time outs, can be really bratty and you will always find her throwing tantrums if she doesn’t get what she wants. It’s very hard, really. I’m on my wits end.
It gets better as they grow older, yes. However, the new challenges never stop.
On a roll
That would be me. I just finished 10 paid tasks in one seating (insert evil laugh here) and I feel like I can write some more. However, the main page of my blog doesn’t sound like me anymore so I’ll make it up by posting photos of the little girl. Let me catch my breath for a minute before I browse through over 300 photos from her birthday “party”.

You can never be too relaxed
Well, things are not doing great at work. The boss talked to me this morning wondering what’s going on with our product support. All I can say is it’s baaaadddd. Payment servers crashing, credit card processing not working, it’s a nightmare! I hope we can get through this soon. I know we can. Still, thinking positively will not help me fall asleep at night. Need to see results, to see that our clients are happy. Sigh. The title is what exactly my boss told me before he signed off.
Kinda stressful, huh? Makes me want to leave everything and have a quick getaway with the family, perhaps to some fairly new Bed and Breakfast that are sprouting like mushrooms.
