Good Day
I hope you’re all having a nice holiday despite the events last night.
We’re off to Richwell in an hour to return Sandy’s laptop. We’re bringing Sandy with us so we might hoard some more items LOL. If you’re going, don’t forget to check the recalled toys list before you purchase. Better be safe than sorry!

Productive Day
For once, I feel satisfied with my work output. Due to lack of paid assignments, I was able to browse some of my favorite sites and blogs, design four illustration-type logos, play with the little girl and have enough time to chat with friends.
I’ll probably sleep early tonight. Oh wait, I have Heroes DVD nga pala. And of course, it depends on the little girl whether we’re sleeping early or not. Aside from her recent achievement, see post below, she has gotten very hard headed and kept on throwing tantrums every chance she gets. I’ll post more about it soon; I’m just too tired right now and need a break.
Weekend Plans
The Husband is leaving for Sagada this Friday. He’s already packed his camping gear and now hoping that it won’t rain over the weekend. We will miss him of course but I’m so excited to spend my weekend with my mom as well. Since The Husband won’t be home for three days, I asked my mom to sleep at our place. Sandy misses her Grandma so much and I’m sure she can’t wait to show her “ganma olive” her new tricks. I hope my mom can bring my niece Gabby so Sandy will have a playmate. They’ll have so much fun playing with Sandy’s kitchen and tent. It will be absolutely chaotic but I just can’t wait. It’s been awhile since Sandy had a playmate of her own age.
Another Milestone
Warning before you read: This post involves poop LOL
Sandy has a habit of peeing and doing number 2 while standing. After reading Babycenter’s tips on potty training, I’ve decided to take their test to see if Sandy’s ready for training. She passed with flying colors and actually made me think that she’s so late because she knows how to go to the bathroom on her own for months. Of course, I’m just too busy to teach her properly and would rather just remove her panties so she can pee on the bathtub standing. So when I saw the soft baby toilet seat at the mall (something like this), I asked Sandy if she wants to pee using it. She said yes (lagi naman yes sagot nya eh pag bago) and I had her choose a design. She chose the pink Disney princess type of course but I replaced it with a white one with duck and whales design when we’re about to pay. I read from Babycenter that it shouldn’t look like a toy or else, they’ll think it’s for fun and play only.
To cut the story short, she has been peeing on her “baby toilet” for the last three days. I make her go everytime she wakes up and every hour so she can get used to it. And for the past two days, she has been pooping on her baby toilet! After reading Weng’s post about how she waits with Abby inside the bathroom while the little girl poops, I’ve decided to try that approach. When I saw Sandy doing her “about to poop” face, I placed her on our toilet. She wasn’t gonna cooperate at first but when she felt how comfortable the seat was, she decided to stay. I then said, “Hi Sandy, let’s wait for your poop okay? I’ll wait here with you.” After a couple of seconds, I heard the unmistakable sound of “plok” hahaha and I just shouted, “Yaaaayy!”. I’m really proud and happy hahaha. Grabe, ang babaw but it’s really a huge accomplishment for me. She did it again the next day and I think she’s starting to like it because face it, it’s more comfortable when you’re sitting down right?
I’ve read by the way that babies in India are being potty trained as early as one month.
I AM DZOI
Pardon the non-update. I’m working non-stop on my other blog, which you can check here. I’d appreciate if you can add it on your blogrolls. I’m still updating the links but I’m hoping to finish everything, including installing plugins over the weekend.
Thanks and happy viewing!
My Purchases
Good morning to all!
Here’s my kwento as requested and promised. We went to Richwell bodega sale around 10AM. There weren’t a lot of people then and I kept on telling my sister-in-law not to expect anything. But gosh when I saw how big the place was, I just can’t help but gush and sigh hahaha. That’s really what happened. The Husband immediately went to the cars section while my sister-in-law and I went to the “old” toys. The old toys are old, yes, but I see that most of them are what’s currently being sold at the malls including Rustans. Most of them have broken and dusty boxes. The items inside are dusty as well, but since I really like the singing Barney, I checked if I can clean the dust using my alcogel and was happy to know that it’s really just dust. The price of that Barney I think is around 1800++ but they are selling it from 400-800 including the dancing Elmo.
I hoarded about four Vtech laptops and two Barbie laptops just to make sure that I won’t miss out on anything. I won’t buy all of them of course, but their prices ranges from 1000-1500 only (original price 2700++) and if budget permits, I might buy two. I then bought Barbies, Bratz, Barbie activity sets, all of them at 50% off. There were lots of Fisher Price items as well, from newborn to toddler toys. There were items from Little Tikes – big playhouses, desk, chairs, castles, cars, bikes, name it they have it! I saw Sandy’s dream playhouse but it was still too expensive for me, plus it’s huge and we don’t have a space for it. I didn’t see the Barbie Playhouse though but there were castles, cars, gameshow set, and ballroom for Barbies. Grabe, I feel like a kid again, I tell you! The Chicco stuff is also nice. Like I said, some of them look old because of the boxes and dust but they are exactly the ones that are being sold at the malls. There were Dora items (I bought another Dora tent LOL), hotwheels, carebears, etc.

I’m so happy!!!
And high haha. This is what great shopping can do. Richwell Sale is just the best. I almost didn’t go after reading Apple’s post that she was disappointed with her purchases. Good thing I promised my sister-in-law that we would go no matter what so here I am, so happy I’m afraid I might burst LOL. Gosh the place is just like heaven for budget conscious mommies like me.
I’ll post my detailed kwento later.
Footbed
The Husband has been complaining about the pain on his left sole whenever he uses the treadmill. We’re thinking it could either be his trainers or his weight. So when I came across Superfeet insoles at the AllegroMedical.com website, I’ve decided to get one for him. AllegroMedical.com offers a lot of life enhancing products and health care such as diabetes supplies, maternity care, orthopedics, outdoor gears, patient care, personal protection and more. I’ve read from their site that the Superfeet insoles contour to your natural foot shape, which can help provide maximum protection with the ground. It also has a Holofiber® top cover that can increase oxygenated blood flow to improve circulation and muscle energy. He needs to lessen the stress on his muscles and joints and the rear-foot control point can do just that.
