Another Milestone
Warning before you read: This post involves poop LOL
Sandy has a habit of peeing and doing number 2 while standing. After reading Babycenter’s tips on potty training, I’ve decided to take their test to see if Sandy’s ready for training. She passed with flying colors and actually made me think that she’s so late because she knows how to go to the bathroom on her own for months. Of course, I’m just too busy to teach her properly and would rather just remove her panties so she can pee on the bathtub standing. So when I saw the soft baby toilet seat at the mall (something like this), I asked Sandy if she wants to pee using it. She said yes (lagi naman yes sagot nya eh pag bago) and I had her choose a design. She chose the pink Disney princess type of course but I replaced it with a white one with duck and whales design when we’re about to pay. I read from Babycenter that it shouldn’t look like a toy or else, they’ll think it’s for fun and play only.
To cut the story short, she has been peeing on her “baby toilet” for the last three days. I make her go everytime she wakes up and every hour so she can get used to it. And for the past two days, she has been pooping on her baby toilet! After reading Weng’s post about how she waits with Abby inside the bathroom while the little girl poops, I’ve decided to try that approach. When I saw Sandy doing her “about to poop” face, I placed her on our toilet. She wasn’t gonna cooperate at first but when she felt how comfortable the seat was, she decided to stay. I then said, “Hi Sandy, let’s wait for your poop okay? I’ll wait here with you.” After a couple of seconds, I heard the unmistakable sound of “plok” hahaha and I just shouted, “Yaaaayy!”. I’m really proud and happy hahaha. Grabe, ang babaw but it’s really a huge accomplishment for me. She did it again the next day and I think she’s starting to like it because face it, it’s more comfortable when you’re sitting down right?
I’ve read by the way that babies in India are being potty trained as early as one month.

OMG YAY!! Parang gusto ko din mag-cheer no, I know how hard it is to potty train (well, with Mato it was my in-law who was successful, I absolutely do not know how to encourage, LOL). Si Martha umuupo na sya when doing POO, you think she can be ready? Haaay, mahgawd, another training!!! Nahahaggard na uli ako, LOL
hi aggie! eksayting to the max! you can wait din siguro kung mahahaggard ka lang hahaha. mahirap din mastress no lol. saka siguro kasi super ready na rin si sandy, though nagdadasal ako na sana eh hindi lang sya neexcite kasi bago
in short, di pa ko sure na potty trained na sya hehe.
if you want, try mo bili ka muna nung Php250 na plastic na potty trainer, baka type na ni martha dun. wag mo na rin sya pagdiaperin pag naglalaro lang, kung kaya ng powers ng yaya nya. para alam nyo kung kelan sya wiwi and poops hehe. tipid pa hihihi
congrats mommy joy and sandy.. goodness ako bloopers pa ng turuan ko mag wee wee si joaqui sa potty nya, kasi pinaupo ko, gelo said dapat daw nakatayo kasi boy! Ano ba? malay ko ba sa mga ganun ng boys hahaha! Na excite ako to train joaqui grabe hehehe .. congrats again

grabe i think this would be the hardest! si alex naman nahahabol ko sometimes kapag umiire na. (haha, ang gross ko) pero sometimes ayun, na-ccatch na ng diaper, kaya di ko tuloy alam kung ready na sya.

. Well, he pees when we let him stand on the toilet bowl side and say ssssss, he poops naman if he has this expression and yaya brings him agad to the toilet…Pero di pa talaga nagsasabi, at minsan nagpoprotesta pa

hello joey, wag mo lang madaliin, pag ready naman na sila hindi na mahirap yun.
and mas mahirap kasi boy sa yo, at least si sandy ginagaya nya lang si mommy
di rin naman nagsasabi si sandy, nakikita ko lang talaga na ready to poop na sya hehe.
yey for sandy (and mommy joy)! hindi ko din minamadali si manu dahil wala pa ngang “signs” (pero ang mga lolo at lola ha, pinipilit na i-pa-potty-train na! deadma lang ako!
