Watercolor set for Php180, two white cartolina at Php20+ each, my old paint brush and two cups of water = Busy Toddler for 20 minutes.

I’m so glad I work from home so I can take all these photos. I will have to find time to organize all of them soon as they’ve already accumulated too much space on my portable drive. Plus there’s no point on taking photos if no one can see them but online friends. I better canvass for cheap printers too so I can at least print some to show to her grandparents.

You’re A, Dora, Ball

Just had to blog about this before I forget.

Sandy: Mommy, mommy mommyyyy draw me something

ME: Yes, what?

Sandy: (handing me her magnetic sketch pad) Draw an A first.

Me: (Writing the letter A) Okay, then…?

Sandy: Then draw Dora ….

Me: I can’t draw Dora. I don’t know how.

Sandy: Drawww Doraaaaaaaaaa

Me: I can’t. Wait, I’ll try to copy her.

I got her Dora book and drew Dora as best as I could on her sketch pad.

Me: Okay? Is that Dora?

Sandy: Opo. Now, draw a ball.

Me: There’s no more space.

Sandy: Draw a ball please!!!!

Me: Okay, okay okayyyyyy!!!!! (drawing a small ball beside Dora)

Sandy: Ayannnn.

Then she started singing happily while pointing at the figures one by one.

A you’re A-Dora-Ble…. B, you’re so beautiful ….

Ah. Now I got it. LOL

For The Future

Just paid all our monthly obligations this morning. Thanks to my paypal funds, all our credit card bills have been paid two weeks early. I realized that this year will be the last payment for The Husband’s life insurance. This means we will have extra money for the next few years so I’m thinking of upgrading my insurance package too. I already asked for a life insurance quote online and hoping that the premium won’t be that high. Another option is to just open another pension plan with another company so we won’t have to put all our eggs in one basket. That way, we can enjoy the benefits while we’re alive.

Snagged most of them from Abie. I cropped them so you can see our faces. Don’t you just love the special glow on the preggy mommies? Definitely no acne treatments for them. ;) We talked about how they wanted to have maternity portraits then we dared Jane to expose her tummy ROFL. By the way, Peachy will be the first to give birth but based on the photo, you wouldn’t think she’s pregnant at all! As early as now, I’m already looking forward to October’s EB because we will finally be able to see Jane’s mansion bwahahaha.

Mommy EB

Again. Last Sunday. Great food. Loud laughter. Equally talkative husbands. Behaved kids.

Looking forward to the next meet up!

Skatie Bangs

I trimmed Sandy’s bangs last week because they irritate her eyes a lot. When I told her let’s play parlor, she immediately sat down on her monkey chair and waited for me to put a blankie around her neck. While I was combing her hair, she said “Do I look like Skatie?” (*skatie for katie holmes) I then started praying that I can at least give her bangs a decent trim so she wouldn’t look like someone just chopped it off.

Her new bangs and her powdered neck. Not so perfect but not as bad as my first try.

Home Theather

Our neighbor is having a garage sale and one of the big pieces that they’re selling is a home theater seating. The Husband wanted to get it even if we obviously have no space for it in our living room. I can’t blame him, though. It looked really comfortable and not too big. Plus it’d be nice to watch marathon TV shows (for me), sports (for him), all-day movies (us) in a real home theater chair. That and with our new surround sound system, we’ll probably never leave the house again. Add some popcorn, potato chips, drinks and I’m sure even Sandy will behave for one whole hour.

Books, books and more books.

Yes, we read books to Sandy even when she was still in my tummy. Then as early as one month, we let her enjoy soft books and up to now, she enjoys reading on her own or having Mommy or Papa read to her. I used to buy new books (Php450-Php500) but that was before we discovered Booksale. Now we buy her as many books as we can (especially her Papa) without spending a lot. Too many times, people wonder if she can read already the way she can recite the words from her books. But nah, she just memorized all of them LOL.

She’s learning how to read now though but that’s another post for next week. ;)

New York Tours

A friend of mine moved to New York one year ago but only gotten a change to go on a tour last month. She said she was too busy impressing her new boss for one year. But now that she’s finally settled in, she decided to take one of those New York tours and visit all the places she only hears about from her co-workers. She knows how I love the Metropolitan museum of art so she went there first just so she can tell me all about it. I asked her where she signed up for the tour because I saw this site that specializes on online travel guides and tours for New York. They are called Trusted Tours & Attractions and what they do is offer easy and safe online ticketing for the most popular tours and attractions in America. Read more
