Weekend Update 0811 and Sandy’s Exam
Nothing much really happened over the weekend. I went to the mall to check out some cheap HDMI switches and when I got home, The Husband was running a high fever. We immediately went to Medical City for an emergency check up due to the fact that he rarely gets sick, plus he can’t tolerate the pain in his head and body anymore. They gave him stronger dose for paracetamol and some pain killers then sent him home. We need to observe for three days (3rd day today) and if he still has fever, we’ll have to get a CBC. For the last three nights, we slept on separate rooms just to make sure that he won’t be able to pass the bug to Sandy.

Sandy had her first exam today. It took her ten minutes only and when I asked her what she did, she said she had to write the big A and small a. I was surprised because although she loves writing, I doubt if she managed to write one without help. So I called up her school and according to her teacher, they matched the small letters with the big letters. They also pointed which item begins with the letter A, E, I, O U. Sandy finished all 30 questions and we’ll get the results next week. The teacher was all praised for Sandy because she finished first and didn’t have problems at all. Gawd, if only she knew what I’ve been teaching Sandy for the last five days. We’ve been reviewing like crazy bwahahahhaa because I thought the exams are going to be hard. And knowing Sandy’s penchant for saying the wrong answers to frustrate me, I had to remind her several times not to kid around when in school. Tomorrow is Math by the way, which is her favorite.

At St. Paul, they call it “paper game” naman yun assessment/exam. Aliw no, they don’t want to pressure the kids about the big “E” word.
You know I am worried naman kay Sam following instructions. I know that she can answer all the questions, but she’s bad in listening. She’ll do kasi whatever she feels like doing. If I ask her to cross out certain item, she’ll insist naman she’ll put a circle! Or if I’ll ask her use green color, she’ll say… I want red please! Kulit di ba?! Hahaha! Bahala na!

My gulay this exam/assessment/paper game or whatever they call it is driving me nuts! hahaha! Tomorrow na si margaux. Sa kanila kasi one-on-one with teacher. Grabe, 30 questions kina Sandy? Ano ba at may math pa! Ganyan din kami, writing numbers ang drama!
