On a Weekend

It’s a Saturday and I’m trying to catch up with backlogs at work. I woke up very early today so I can finish before lunch and have enough time to get ready for Bela’s party. I already missed two MBAP kiddie parties and have no plans of missing another one. I’m so excited about my shoes and The Husband’s!

Has anyone tried Hydroxycut hardcore? I’ve been hearing and reading great reviews about it but I’d like to hear experiences from average people. What I know is that this is being used by professional body builders and that it can stimulate the metabolism process much better than any common diet pill in the market. My friend who would like to try it hates working out so I’m researching if it can be used by just anyone.

I just remembered that we need to do grocery shopping too. I used to love buying groceries when I was single but now, it just feels too tasking. We’re meeting up at MOA with the MBAPs later but the crowd there is unbelievable. I hope I can convince The Husband to go to Rustan’s Makati as soon as the party is over.

Have a great weekend!

Promise I’ll post about our beach trip next week. Let me leave you with this photo of the little girl on our first day in Boracay. She was still all smiles here because if you can see, she was still wearing her slippers. The tantrums started when she had to walk barefooted the next day.

We have so many things to do lined up this weekend. First, we’ll be meeting Peachy in MOA because the stuff from our online shopping spree arrived. I need to make sure to hide it from Sandy though. Her Leapster LMAX (supposed to be a birthday gift) will now be her Christmas gift. Then we’ll try to drop by at Bela’s party and then buy groceries. On Sunday, it’s our 5th wedding anniversary so we’ll try to spend the whole morning with the little girl. That way, we won’t feel guilty when we leave her for our dinner date. How about you? What’s your plan?

Great Finds

I’m sorry but I’ve been very busy the whole day. Not with work, for a change. But with browsing and hopping from one online shop to another planning my wishlists (here and here). Some of the bebots and twittermates are having another online exchange gift so we we’re all busy with our lists. For once we weren’t talking about earning online, raising kids, losing weight through fat burner or photography. All the twits were about Etsy this or Etsy that.

So far, I’ve spent five hours hanging out at Etsy.com. I have bookmarked so many items that when it came to listing them, I didn’t know what to add first. I love all of them! Clothes, shoes, accessories, paintings, gadget skins and protectors, furnitures. Name it, Etsy.com has it.

More example below. I’m saving up so I can buy some of these. I already bought loads for myself, my mom and my mom-in-law so I hope they will arrive just in time for Christmas.

These stuff are amazing. I always see Etsy stuff from Yen’s blog but I rarely look close. Thank God for that or else I’d probably be bankrupt by now.

WW – Much Afraid

Tuesday Update

Hello friends! We’re back from Boracay. I won’t be blogging about our trip yet because there are about 20 design tasks sitting on my inbox. It sounds bad but it’s not. They are pretty easy to do so I’m not the least bit stressed. My boss and colleagues were cool while I was away because they finished all the urgent ones.

I will make sure to post some photos soon and possibly hop on all your blogs because I missed your posts so much. I wanted to browse the Internet using my phone while we were in Boracay but I stopped myself. The reason why we went on a trip is to get away from it all right? Plus I might see something urgent in my email and I might not be able to ignore it.

The downside from our trip is that The Husband had to go to the ER last night. (See my Hi-Lo) We pigged out a lot and while we were in Bora so this wasn’t a surprise at all. Good thing it was him and not me or Sandy though.

Anyway, have to get back to designing now. Do come back later as I’ve scheduled to crop and post some preview photos this afternoon.

Hullo!

No post yet because for the first time in months, I’m having a break from the Internet. Make sure you come back next week so you can read about our trip and possibly see some photos too. That’s if I don’t get too lazy after getting back from paradise. ;)

I’m glad I don’t go to work in a real office or go to school so I can take vacations like these all the time. Unless you’re enrolled in online college courses, if you still attend College, you will always have to wait for semestral breaks before you can get away. Which is the exact reason why my other brother-in-law is not coming with us.

Have a great weekend! :) And don’t forget to pray that it won’t rain. I’ve had enough with the weather. All I want is just a nice day on the beach, if that’s not too much to ask.

Shopping Spree

Eversince my friend moved to the US, me and my other girlfriends have started planning on having an online shopping spree. But before we can do that, my friend needs to ask first where she can get a box, who will pick it up, total fee, etc. They just went there last November 2 so we need to give her time to get settled.

Most of my friends wanted to get high luxury items like Tag Heuer or Movado watches but I discouraged them. Not only it might get lost through shipping but it’s not something that you can put in a ‘balikbayan’ box. We should concentrate on buying clothes, shoes, books and toys instead. It’s so much cheaper online and I have two boxes coming to prove that.

What’s really exciting is now that I’ve discovered how convenient it is to shop online, I can now buy gifts for my boss, clients and relatives who live in the US. It would be something inexpensive of course but totally memorable.

Sandy – The Host

Here are some photos of Sandy with her Ninang Emily.

Emily grew up in the UK so Sandy couldn’t get over her accent. I asked Sandy if there was someone that reminded her of her Ninang’s accent and she just smiled, probably thinking about Harry Potter, etc. Before her Ninang stayed with us, I instructed Sandy to keep her Ninang entertained because she might get bored. This was just to prepare her so she won’t be shy around her Ninang. When the time came, she just wouldn’t leave her Ninang’s side. She talked to her all the time, followed her around the house, won’t even let her Ninang take a nap. Her Ninang didn’t mind the attention because she too loves Sandy to bits. However, I know she gets tired too so from time to time, I ask Sandy to give her a break. Sandy will try her best but after 15-30 minutes of not seeing her, she’ll start wondering then go to her room to check what’s taking her long. When I told Sandy for the nth time to give her Ninang some time to rest, she said in a very confused voice, “EHHHH,WHY DID YOU SAY ENTERTAIN HER???”. Wahahahaha. That kid is smart.

Weekend Update – October08

This is a weekend update-slash-October round up.

We didn’t go to the cemetery because we usually visit on the 2nd week of November or last week of October. This year, we’ve gotten so busy at work that we decided to just go next week when we get back from Boracay.

Sandy received her report card for the second grading. She improved a lot on social skills from G (good) to VG (very good). All academics are still VG except for “letter sounds”. She got a G last grading and now she got an O (outstanding). I’m one proud mommy of course. She still loves to write and draw as posted here.

She joined two trick or treating events this year – school and at her Papa’s office. My original plans didn’t push through because for the nth time, things are just unbelievably busy at work. She was dressed as a ballerina for both because she wouldn’t go otherwise. She didn’t enjoy the one in school because most of the kids were sick but she had a blast at her Papa’s office. I left her there before I went out with my girlfriends. The Husband said it’s because he knows how to handle Sandy better when I’m not in the picture but in my opinion, it was all because of the candies and chocolates that he gave her. :P

Trick or Treat - SchoolWith Teacher Len

We attended a wedding last week at Clark, Pampanga. The Husband was the best man to his long time best friend. Usually, weddings mean hours of shopping for Sandy and me. But we couldn’t find the time (que horror) so I just wore this dress made by my mom last year (thank God it still fits) and bought Sandy an off-the-rack gown. My mom always makes her gowns and dresses for special occasions but again, we were running out of time. The wedding was beautiful even though the place was very far. We stayed at Holiday Inn – loved the one bedroom unit, buffet breakfast (yihaa!!!) and the king sized bed. I also managed to get some work done, thanks to the fast connection at Php500/day. The office space inside the room was nice too so I’m thinking of copying it for our room.

This is the second time that we attended a wedding with Sandy. The church was small so I was afraid she’d throw tantrums. And she did, no surprise there really. But I think it would’ve worked out if only she got enough sleep and didn’t have a cold. Read more
