Wordless Wednesday – Quiet Zone

So Many Things

I have a long list of things that I need and want to blog. To give you an idea, here’s a quick list of our weekend plans. Sandy’s musical went well, photos to follow because there were so many of them. The lighting wasn’t that great, as expected but we were lucky to capture a few. After the musical was their Moving Up day as well and I’m one proud momma when I received her awards. :)

I promise to blog all about it soon! I need to finish my house obligations first including researching for a sleep number bed for my cousin-in-law.

Dress Rehearsals

Yesterday was Sandy’s last rehearsal in school. We went to Villa Salud in Bicutan so they can rehearse wearing their costumes. I wasn’t planning on going but her father insisted that I accompany her. The rehearsals, as expected were still a bit rough but may I just say how amazed I am that Sandy danced without problems on stage? She even sits with her friends without looking for me. I couldn’t help but grin from ear to ear whenever it was Sandy’s turn to stand on stage even though she’s just an extra LOL.

Here are some photos. I wasn’t planning on bringing the camera but my phone needs new micro sd so I had no choice. I’m glad I did! I was able to test the lighting (or lack thereof) and plan where the stage parents (me and The Husband) will stand tomorrow! We are going to talk tonight so we can plan our positions – him with the DSLR and me with the videocam. ;)

With her co-stars – the dolls. I was told they should come in Doll costumes but when we arrived at the place, all the dolls were wearing gowns. So for tomorrow, I will have Sandy wear a gown that she wore once to a wedding.

Weekend Round Up

It’s been awhile since I posted about our weekend. Now that my morning isn’t as busy, I’m going to take advantage and fill my blog with photos.

I can safely say that last weekend was Sandy’s highlight of the week because her cousin Chloe had a sleep over. She’s been missing her cousin for so long that she was even pretending that I am Chloe. So Saturday, as soon as Chloe arrived, we all went to the mall to eat lunch, buy costume for her musical and do some grocery shopping. After that, they spent the night playing and dancing until they got tired. Doesn’t sound much but I’m sure it was amazing for Sandy. She can’t stop smiling, staring at Chloe’s face and “taking good care” of her as if she’s really the ate. When I asked her before if she wants a baby sister, she said, “No ma’am, just Chloe.”

Sunday however was my moment. Why? Because my mother-in-law took us to Dampa in Macapagal for lunch. Let the photos speak how happy I was. Thank God I’m not allowed to diet :)

Sophia and Mateo’s Party

I can’t believe I still haven’t blogged about this. This is the second party that we attended last March 1. I was surprised that The Husband agreed to accompany me to two parties. Usually, we’d have to pick one but I think he knows how important these parties are to me because they were both hosted by two online friends. Good thing there were lots of daddies there that he can talk to as well. So to cut the story short, after literally eating and running from Asher’s, we headed straight to C3 in Greenhills.

The first thing that I saw were the balloon arrangements. Gosh, it felt like stepping into fantasy land you know.

The decors were amazing, the food and entertainment were great but the best part was the free Starbucks of course. And the choco mousse, don’t forget that. In fact, I had two servings of each dessert. All I can say is diet pills, here I come!

Sophia the birthday girl. I didn’t catch Mateo because everything was crazy when we arrived. He was probably napping somewhere :)

Knee Protection

The Husband is into basketball again. I’m thankful because he’s now more excited in hitting the treadmill so he can lose weight and afford to jump higher again. However, I’m a bit concerned about his knee which was injured 15 years ago. I checked AllegroMedical.com for a nice knee brace so he can have extra protection. I was able to find two that would normally cost me $50 a piece if I buy from our local malls. This is why I always go to Allegro Medical whenever I need to purchase medical equipment or any life enhancing products. They’ve been in the business since 1996 and is now one of the largest independently owned online retailers for health products in the US. The site is also huge and offers various kinds of products from exercise and fitness, dietary supplements, maternity, pain relief, outdoor gear and more.

Things to Do

Before I turn 40. I was gonna say 30 but sadly, that would be a few months from now so I won’t have time to do any of these.

Climb a mountain and sleep on top of it.

Sky dive or bungee jump.

Learn French or play a violin.

Travel on a budget. I want to visit Greece so bad after watching Mama Mia. Or Tuscany!

Attend a high school reunion and see old frenemies and crushes who used to ignore me hoping they are all going bald and overweight LOL.

Go scuba diving in Coron, Palawan. I’ve been dying to experience this for so long but I always panic whenever I can’t feel the ground with my feet when I’m swimming.

Star or join a musical / play.

Go on a road trip with me driving.
