Monday Update
That was a very long tiring weekend that we had. It was so much fun but the downside is I can’t find the strength to work today. Sandy and I woke up around 9:30 and I’m still browsing through our Tagaytay Highlands photos up to this moment. I was surprised that the number of photos were less than what I was expecting. I was equally shocked that Aggie and Kathy were done uploading theirs. It was like they didn’t hangovers at all! Anyway, I will upload mine as soon as I finished comparing prices for netbooks for my friend. I’d like to write a proper blog post about our MBAP summer getaway but it will have to wait until tonight as my clients need to be updated about their projects.
Manic Monday #168
If you could completely redecorate any room in your house at no expense to you, what room would you choose?
Our bedroom of course. I’ll add a walk-in closet, re-paint the walls, get a king-sized bed with drawers underneath, a small corner for reading, a couple of lamps and a spacious area for my computer table.
Which hour of the day do you feel goes the slowest?
None. In fact, I often wish that I can stop time or I have 36 hours every day. I’m always on the run, meeting deadlines and squeezing quality time with Sandy.
If your birthday could be in a different month of the year, when would you have it?
I’d say April so we can go out of town when the sun is out almost all the time. I hate celebrating my birthday during the rainy days of June.
Toys for the Big Boys
The Husband saw a painting ball area when we went to Tagaytay Highlands yesterday. He wanted to try it out but we’ve already booked too many activities for the entire afternoon so he wasn’t able to. I told him to just go with my brother next week and he agreed, but not after asking if he can buy himself a planet eclipse ego gun. So I checked the site zephyrpaintball.com today because I heard they sell affordable paintball gears. Boy was I shocked when I found out how much a paintball gun cost. And this is from a site that offers clearance items and free shipping. To be fair, they are really much cheaper than other stores but there’s just no way I’m letting him buy a toy worth $400 and up. I’ll just get him a cheap airsoft gun or a nice goggle or a sling. He agreed to the goggle so quick which made me wonder if I was manipulated in some way.
Packing Blows
I can’t believe Sandy’s sleeping time is here already. I spent the whole day finishing all my tasks so I wouldn’t have to worry about them over the weekend. There’s no worse thing than having to think about what you need to do at work when you’re out of town with friends. Anyway, I only have an hour to pack all our stuff. I’m lucky that Sandy’s a big girl now so we won’t need four bags like when she was a baby. Now, we can simply cut it down to two big bags and a backpack plus The Husband’s camera bag
. So yes, it’s still four bags. But you just can never be too sure that you have all that you need when you’re traveling with a toddler. Plus we’re going to stay overnight so we need to pack for two days.
List for Sandy alone:
4 shirts, two jeans
Bathing suits, bathrobe and towels
One pair of ballet flats, crocs and slippers
6 undies, 1 sleepwear
2 dresses after swimming
Leapster and her games
Notebooks, drawing pads, crayons and pens
Barney and a pillow
iPod filled with Little Einstein’s
Baby TV for the trip.
Hello Friday!
Our weekend is definitely going to be exciting! It’s the MBAPs Summer getaway this Saturday at Tagaytay Highlands. We’ve lined up so many activities which includes basketball for daddies, fishing, zoo, horseback riding and swimming for the kidlets. As for the mommies, the main activity is to lounge around the pool and talk for hours. That’s why we try to meet up as much as we can, to catch up on each other’s lives. Luckily, our husbands are very supportive of our meetup addictions and that they love us enough to swim with our kids so the mommies can have their bonding moments.
So see you on Monday and expect tons and tons of photos!
Making Your Life Easier

From breastfeeding pillows to blood pressure monitors, waterproof casts to wheelchair ramp, portable steam sauna to acupressure strips, everything you need to continue your active lifestyle is just a few clicks away.
Allegro Medical used to just offer medical equipments and home health care but they have expanded since 1998 and now offers mainstream consumer retail products. Which is just perfect because I’m currently shopping for maternity gifts for a baby shower party I’m attending next month. There are so many baby products that I can’t help but miss my own shopping sprees when I was pregnant. Anyway, I am really interested on getting this InStep TAKE 2 Bike Trailer. Not for my friend but for me when we decide to make baby number 2.

Mother’s Day Weekend Roundup
My Mother’s day weekend was very simple. The Husband was out of town for a company outing so it was only me and Sandy plus my mom who joined us at the last minute. As for my mother’s day gift to myself, I’ve decided to go to the dentist and have my teeth checked. The cleaning process was so brutal I was hoping Sandy couldn’t see me. I did my best to be strong even though it felt like I’m losing all my teeth. The dentist, Dra. Reyes was very patient and kept informing me if it will hurt or how many seconds more until she moves to the next tooth. I also asked for a quote for a total makeover (that’s what I call it because I’m hoping it will give me a better smile) and was shocked that it’s more than what I’ve been planning to spend. I’ve been wondering whether I should buy an LV bag to treat myself after snagging two big projects but I’ve decided to spend it on my teeth instead. Litte I know that it will cost me four LV handbags! There are cheaper alternatives, thank God but it will still put a huge dent on our savings.
As for the rest of the weekend, we just spent it watching DVDs – The Day the Earth Stood Still, The Day After Tomorrow and last but not the least Jerry Maguire. Sandy was wonderful and kept giving me small “gifts”. One that I still remember clearly was her small pillowcase with several trinkets inside. She told me to open it and when I saw my phone inside, I said “Wooow! Oh my it’s exactly what I wanted!!!”. She was so happy to hear that but then she said, “HAHAHA. That’s nothing, it’s just your phone! I don’t have mother’s presents.” To which I said, “No Sandy, you are the present.”
If truth be known though, I’d definitely kill for a dream house that will rival the houses at Wilmington NC real estate. Hope you all had a very nice weekend! As for the MBAP meet up, you can read about it here.
