Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince
We watched Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince last Sunday at Greenbelt 3, Makati. I made reservations online but we were running late that I had to climb three steps at a time just to claim our tickets. Luckily, they weren’t that strict so we still got our seats.
The movie was too long, too boring and too many scenes that you don’t really need. However, it’s exactly the same as its book counterpart, which in my opinion, you don’t really need to read except for two important facts:
1. Dumbledore dying, thanks to Professor Snape’s unbreakable vow with Malfoy’s mom.
2. The dark power of Horcrux and how the young Voldemort learned about it.
These two scenes, unlike the others who were obviously just fillers are very important for book 7 which I can’t wait to see and read again. Sandy, The Husband and our friend Z got really bored watching the movie and thought that Harry is getting weaker. Well, better wait for The Deathly Hallows then to see how powerful Harry can be. We are all just dying to see them fight back that I can’t help but feel sad that Sirius is dead. He would’ve been great in book 7. Think about the final scenes from Order of the Phoenix to know what I mean.
Sandy: The movie was boring! Night at the museum is better and more fun!
And that’s coming from someone who couldn’t wait to see Harry on the big screen again.
