Show How Happy You Are With Thank You Cards
There’s no better way to express one’s gratitude than sending out Thank You Cards. Just like flowers, you don’t need an occasion to send one. It could be as simple as thanking a friend who did you a favor to something as big as a group of people who made an event successful. Whenever I receive baby thank you cards, it feels like I’m receiving gifts too knowing that they appreciate what I gave them no matter how small it is. Read more
Weekend Round Up
Spent our Saturday morning at Dra. Villar’s clinic in Makati Med for Sandy’s follow up check up. We were told her skin is looking better (she has skin asthma) and that we should continue with the treatment for 3 more days. She gave us new skin care for maintenance too. Expensive products, I tell you so I hope they really work and that she’s not just selling her products.
Went to Glorietta and SM Makati after that to look for Harry Potter robes. Sadly, there were none. So we decided on a grim reaper instead then we’ll just have my mom fix it to fit Sandy. We then bought her a white formal shirt, a necktie with gold in it and a pair of eyeglasses. I kept suggesting different costumes while we were searching for the perfect robe but she was adamant that she’ll go as Harry. One time I told her to go as Little Mermaid instead and she said, “But you said I will be Harry! Let’s just ask Grandma to make me a robe. She’s very good! She’s a good clothesmaker” (bwahahaha). I’m sure her grandma will be happy to hear that.
We also looked for her United Nations Day costume – Netherlands but was surprised that SM didn’t have them. I saw plenty of choices last year from Kultura but now they told me they only sell Filipiniana stuff.
We checked some tile prices too so I can compare them with the ones online. I want to make sure it’s really cheaper if we get online.
Some photos from our lunch at Sbarro (yum!)
I love my Canon Powershot a480. Too bad I sold it to my brother-in-law haha. He was persistent and I badly wanted a new business phone.
When we’re done grocery shopping at Rustan’s we went home expecting to have a long quiet night. But to our pleasant surprise, cousin Chloe was home. Imagine the shrieks and excitement that followed. To be continued …
Ready for Trick or Treat?
We’re not. No biggie but I’m getting pretty excited myself since this is our first time to attend Shangrila’s Halloween party.
We found Harry’s glasses (they are cute!), a neck tie (not the exact ones that Harry wears but similar) and white crisp shirt. Sandy tried all of them and she did look a bit like Harry Potter. Except we still need a Griffyndor robe. We bought a grim reaper type of costume and had my mom fix it to fit Sandy’s body. We’ll see what will happen.
I should’ve found a Griffyndor patch by now but my search is still unsuccessful. I kept thinking I have plenty of time to do this but I’m pretty sure I don’t.
If only Sandy chose something simple this year but no, she has to be Harry Potter. The same year when all SM malls decided not to sell Harry Potter robes.
Oh and we still don’t have a wand too. Plus I’m still deciding if she really needs a broomstick or not.
She’ll have to be Harry Potter with the long curly hair or we can tie her hair so she’ll look more like a boy.
Ready for Thanksgiving Invitations
My friends in the US look forward to seeing a Thanksgiving dinner invitation in their mailbox especially if it comes from someone who can whip up a wonderful dinner like Monica from the FRIENDS TV show. If you’re hosting one, you can get Thanksgiving Invitations at the Invitations-Shoppe website. They have so many unique designs that you can choose from which goes side by side with a nice Thanksgiving Invitation Wording. Read more
WANT This Week – Computer Chair
Even if I can’t afford most of the stuff that I post here, at least my blog is filled with beautiful things. It’s what I do every morning, research the net for things that I’d like to get my hands on. Like I don’t have enough on my list already! But it keeps me from getting bored and being uninspired at work. Much better than researching about rv towing or best hosting for clients, you know.
But I digress. The item for this week is an Ergonomic Chair. I want to buy this or at least upgrade to a nicer chair because my back just won’t be able to take it anymore. I don’t see anything wrong with my fairly new computer chair but I just know it’s the one causing my body to ache all over.

Weekend Round Up – Miss Happy Lady
I LOVE THIS WEEKEND!
These were Sandy’s words yesterday while eating a slice of New York’s finest pizza. I was touched because I had an idea why. It’s because I didn’t go online (well, I did for two hours or so) so I can spend a lot of time with her. Plus she did nothing but eat her favorite food for the last two days and wasn’t even asked to take a nap
1. Went to Dra. Cabral in Makati Med. We found out Sandy has skin asthma and needs to undergo a 7-10 days treatment. When we’re done with that, we’ll have to replace her soap, lotion and what-not with more suitable brands/products designed for skin asthma. She also said that even though kids used to outgrow it when they turn 12, she can’t really say that now given the current pollution and food preservatives.
2. We then had lunch at Sizzling Pepper Steak in Glorietta 5. It was good and affordable except we sat beside the LCD TV showing their advertisement over and over that we had LSS the whole day. Even with the annoying commercial, I managed to finish my good-for-two meal thinking there’s always a diet pill if ever I need to lose all the weight I’ve gained for the past three months alone.
3. After lunch, we hopped from one mall to another – Rustan’s, Glorietta 5 and SM Makati to shop for her shoes. Three malls because it’s so hard to shop for her, either the sizes are too small or too big, or the style does not really fit kids her age. Just think about Suri wearing heels all the time. We managed to buy her two pairs at SM Makati finally.
4. Grocery shopping at Rustan’s then finished our day with a taste of white hat (strawberry and cheese cake) yogurt. Also bought Sandy’s favorite sandwich from Subway – ham, lettuce, pineapple chutney, etc.
5. Sunday was spent either in bed or eating. Ordered New York’s finest from Yellow Cab then went out to the park with Sandy riding her motorbike for more than an hour. I felt guilty seeing how happy she was. A very simple thing such as riding/walking/running with me gives her so much joy. Seeing her face yesterday, I have no doubt that she’ll choose a whole day with me than a trunk load of new toys.
Not A Wednesday But Still Happy Thoughts
From Mich
1. An incoming vacation with Sandy and The Husband. No details yet.
2. Lots of design projects and it’s only October!
3. December is just around the corner. I can’t wait for Christmas.
4. November is even closer and I can’t wait for New Moon!
5. Exciting things happening offline that I can’t disclose. Very minor and usually have to do with Sandy and me.
6. A possibility of having a new phone before the year ends.

I am Dzoi, a 28 year old Filipina who currently works as a web designer. I am a loving wife to my equally loving husband Sherwin and a mommy cow to my 2-year-old daughter, Sandy.
