Outfit Discussion
This was what Sandy wore on Mateo’s (Jane’s youngest) birthday party.
She and her Papa had a minor disagreement on what to wear underneath it which resulted to crying in the end. Her Papa didn’t like the stockings she was wearing because it had some embroidery and told her to just wear leggings. It somehow reminded me of what it will be, ten years from now.
Papa: Take off the stockings, it doesn’t look good.
Sandy: No, it looks good.
Papa: Just wear leggings, mama bought you new ones.
ME: Okay lang naman ah
Papa: Mahalay eh
Sandy: (with tears flowing) It doesn’t look good, noooo, noooo.
Papa: Just try Sandy. You wouldn’t know if you don’t try.
No choice but to follow. She tried on the purple leggings.
Sandy: It doesn’t look good Papaaaaaa wahhhhhh wahhhhhhh.
Papa: Hayyyyyyyy!! It looks nice! Wear it with your silver sandals.
Sandy: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Papa: Fine! Take it off and just wear the skirt and sandals.
Sandy was still not sure (and still crying) if she’ll look nice without stockings. She removed her leggings and wore her silver gladiator sandals. When she saw that it looks cute, she immediately stopped crying and said …
Sandy: Papa, I think you’re right. It looks good without stockings.
All I can say is, good luck Sherwin. She’s only four now.
Zara Look Book
Before I research for affordable Anilox (a client is looking to have me purchase this in bulk), let me post these really nice outfits from Zara. I’ve always been a fan of their styles but find their fabric too warm for the Philippines. Still, whenever my mother-in-law buys Sandy a dress from Zara, I accept it wholeheartedly because face it, their styles are really fab! And I only make sure that Sandy will wear it in places where there’s airconditioning the whole day.
Big Eyed Miss
I mentioned about missing my baby Sandy in my last post so I unearthed some old photos of her. I realized there are so many photos that I haven’t printed yet and we need to get some online backup service plus a new hard drive for storage and back up purposes. You never know what could happen with computers nowadays so it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Her big eyes never went away.
With her cousin, ate Gabby. Soon this will be her and her baby brother/sister.
Time flies so fast – I’m sure you’ve heard that a million times but only because it’s so true.
Hello Kitty Huggers
Went to Rockwell Powerplant mall last week to buy some Linksys router and try out Pepper Lunch (we didn’t because it was too crowded). That was when Sandy saw a huge Hello Kitty stuffed toy dressed as a cheerleader. Of course, Sandy would want to have her picture taken with her. Cousin Chloe was a little hesitant but after seeing how much her ate Sandy loved Hello Kitty, she went inside and posed too.
Anyway, I’m really lovin’ how Sandy looks here. She’s all grown up now and looks like a young lady already. She’s ready to be an Ate (I hope that’s really the case) and always there for me whenever I’m dizzy, when my back hurts, even when I’m throwing up in the bathroom. Looking at her again here, I just sort of miss her and feels sad that she won’t be the hairless and toothless baby with chubby fingers anymore. The upside is, I’m sure her baby brother/sister will look exactly like her.
Not Aloud!
Sandy has a new best friend. Her name is Zoe, she’s our neighbor and also her classmate. She visits us everyday and they play from morning until nap time. When they’re done with their naps, she’ll come back so they can both go outside and play in the park.
It’s Zoe’s birthday today so she made a card with her Ate Arlyn’s help. The envelope was blank though. But when I looked just now, I saw this.

“No one’s allowed to touch”
Her Ate Arlyn didn’t help her by the way. In fact, she fought with her because she didn’t want her Ate Arlyn to touch her work. The spelling was funny but I’m so proud of her that she can write and tried to spell the words on her own.
Everyone Should Have Access to Top Quality Education
Thanks to technology, plenty of people can now acquire degrees through an online university. There are plenty of options out there but the one that stands out for me is Western Governors University. For one, they are non-profit so they don’t need to benefit shareholders. By trying to keep their operating costs low, they can afford to offer basic tuition fees at a flat rate every six months. It’s cheaper because you don’t pay for credit hours. A quick glance at their table comparison of reputable and accredited online universities (see here)will show you that WGU tuition is indeed, half the cost. For people like me who has to raise a family while pursuing higher education, cost is definitely a big factor. Read more
Sandy’s 2nd Haircut
We said goodbye to her curls last month.

Big girl na talaga si Ate. She didn’t move even when the haircutter accidentally hurt her ears. She just said “ouch, be careful. Mommy it hurts.”
Ready to be an Ate!
She is now officially an Ate.
Look at her fixing her doll’s food and milk. She even “cooked” the potato in her kitchen. When I’m suffering from my all-day morning sickness, she tells the baby “hey baby! be a good boy! don’t make mommy sick, good job okay? go go baby”.
We’re really busy offline and whenever I feel better to get online, I maximize it by working and not blogging. So pardon the limited updates but I will try to update more from now on.

Jan Di’s Flats
Before I research again on the current life insurance rates, let me post my Christmas wish first. It’s a pair of ballet flats from Chinese Laundry. Silver with gemstones on top and very similar to what Jan Di wore in Boys Over flowers. It’s too expensive for me, currently at $75 so I’m searching everywhere for a cheaper alternative. I tried Amazon and eBay but no such luck. 
I really love to have these, pregnant feet or not so I can pretend that Ji Hoo and Jun Pyo bought it for me bwahahaha.
