Weekend Update – Papa’s Birthday / Sandy’s Field Trip at Ocean Park

Last Thursday was my big baby’s birthday. Was supposed to order at Conti’s but when I called them, you need to order 3-4 days before the event. We ended up ordering pizza, chicken with mojos and Italian sausage pasta from Shakey’s  for his birthday dinner. The chicken was so good that my morning-all-day sickness went away for a few hours.

After dinner, Sandy gave his Papa the card that she made and then our secret gift. I ordered it from Faye a few months ago and it arrived last November so imagine how hard it was for me not to say anything. The Husband was surprised and very happy when he saw our present. I’m glad I didn’t tell Sandy what it was because I know she’d tell her Papa as she can never keep secrets from him.

Friday was Sandy’s field trip at Ocean Park and Repertory Philippines. She was so excited to go and kept saying how she loved riding the bus. Ocean Park was pretty crowded for my taste so you’ll have to make sure that your kids are with you at all times. The marine life is amazing though, not mentioning the very cool Mermaid show that Sandy really loved!

After Oceanpark, we went to Onstage in Greenbelt to watch Jack and the Beanstalk. I was surprised that the production was very colorful. Even the giant looked so loveable! Sandy was scared at first whenever the light goes off but when she saw the giant, she just couldn’t help laughing at him. I think people of all ages will love this play. It was so unlike anything I was expecting I can’t help but become mesmerized when Jack “reached” the castle through the beanstalk.

Saturday morning was spent at the OB’s clinic – our little one is jumping and dancing at 12weeks! We then had a nice late lunch at Outback for The Husband’s post-birthday celebration and some Christmas shopping. Spent the whole day in bed yesterday while Sandy enjoyed another weekend just playing and hanging out with her two favorite people in the world – her parents.
