New Baby Has Arrived
… and it starts with L. L for Louis. Louis Button mwehehehe.
Thanks to The Husband for this very early “push gift”. This just made me LVoe him more.
My Sun
Just love how strong our Sun signal here at home! No need for a cell phone signal booster for me. Now I can call my mom and The Husband wherever I am, even in bed. Good bye to getting signals from the terrace. I’m sure Sandy will love this as she likes calling her Papa all the time. Having two cell phones isn’t such a waste, after all!
More on TV sets
I’m looking at led tvs online and I’m getting pretty excited at how cheap some of them are. I’m not looking to buy now but when we start building our home, I want to get a 50″ LCD TV either from Samsung or Panasonic. And basing on the prices that I see online, I’m sure it will get more affordable in one or two years time. I can already see our entertainment room filled with friends and relatives or just me and The Husband, having a DVD marathon. That is, if the kids will cooperate.
A Surprise
Sandy called me from the hallway one evening to tell me that she has a surprise for me. Normally, I’d be too lazy to get up from my work area but I’ve been working too hard and decided to stretch my legs. When I went outside, this was what I saw.
Is she a darling or what? She even placed her 5-month old photo beside the note
Things to Buy
The Husband wants a Samsung HDTV and that’s just one of the things from his wish lists. There’s a new air-conditioning unit for the baby, a PSP or Wii for him and Sandy and a trip to Singapore to watch Michael Schumacher race again. To think we are saving for pocket money for our HK trip this 28th! But in fairness to him, these are just his wishes and doesn’t really tell me to go ahead and buy them. He waits patiently until I feel bad for him
Ate Sandy and Her Gang.

The only rose among the thorns. All our friends’ kids are boys including Nathan and Crispaul.
The big Ate.
She’s really all grown up now, my baby.
Safe Home
Installing home security systems at home is now getting more popular what with burglary cases left and right. Not mentioning the need for spy cams when you have a baby and a nanny at home. These days, protecting your family should come first. I do value the privacy of other people but when they affect my family directly, I will do what I can to make sure that they stay away from harm as much as they can.
Busy Day Ahead
Have a long list of to-dos today and I have to get cracking soon, but not before I do a quick sales job search for my friend’s sister. She’s wide-eyed and fresh out of college and raring to, erm, work from home. Anyway, once that’s done I have a load of design mockups to prepare, several logo designs to review, and 2 or 3 sites to update. Can’t complain, though. Having a lot to do beats being unemployed.
Women and Weight
It seems all I can talk about now is losing weight. From diet plans to weight loss dietary supplement to exercise. Not that I can take any supplements while pregnant but most of my friends are trying to lose weight too. They even have a contest similar to the Biggest Loser and they are doing everything that they can to win. The most effective I’ve seen so far is the South Beach diet. A friend lost 15 lbs in a couple of weeks but it helped that she orders pre-packed SB meals so it was easy. As for me, I’m trying not to gain too much like I did with Sandy. I remember I had to go on diet while I was on my 7th month – no sweets, cookies, chocolate, shakes, pastries, etc. Now, I have to be more careful by hitting the treadmill early and just limiting my rice to one cup.
Things You Shouldn’t Discuss With Strangers
I’m making this list based from recent conversations I’ve had with strangers while waiting in the hospital, in line waiting for my NBI clearance, buying groceries and at the parking lot.
Your favorite brand of hemorrhoids creams. Okay so you’re in the hospital but still, saying that you’re being treated for hemorrhoid should be enough reason to change topic.
Why you hate your husband. You probably don’t have someone to talk to at home so I can forgive you for this. Besides, women bond over marital problems but know when you’ve said too much information.
How you skip work/school/etc to watch movies or go shopping. After all, I could end up knowing your boss or colleague.
Your problems in life. Strangers and new acquaintances are for small talks. Don’t break down and reveal your deepest, darkest secrets.
How rich you are, how many designer bags you have, your kids’ tuition and your monthly bills.
