Happy 1st Month Meg

This is going to be quick. I’m still trying to juggle work and parenting so blogging is now taking a back seat. However, I just want to do an update to record the milestone of my youngest.

Here’s us (eye bags and all) during her first month birthday last July 23. She was wide awake while I was dressing her up but by the time her Papa started shooting, she decided she’d rather sleep.

See how cute she is? I am addicted to Meg and can’t stop kissing her small mouth and chubby cheeks.

Baby Meg with her Ate Sandy. These two are just adorable I find myself looking at their photos for hours. It’s a little tricky getting Ate Sandy to behave when Meg is sleeping but she tries her best. And Meg is such a happy and behaved little angel when she’s not looking for her my milk (which is more often than not).

That’s about it for now! I’ll be back soon with more photos. We have so many photos of her that I better start creating her first year photo book. We just couldn’t get enough of her, that’s for sure.

On LSATs

Looking for LSAT prep courses that’s worth the price? I was helping my cousin-in-law search for affordable LSAT courses when we came across Knewton.com. The comparison table of the most popular LSAT prep courses on their homepage helped him a lot in his decision. If you’ll look at Knewton’s, you’d be surprised that at a much cheaper price, you still get more than what others are offering. My cousin said that his deciding factor were the membership length and the money-back guarantee. Check it out yourself and see if it can help you too.

Crazy Lady

A friend of mine secretly bought a cheap gps tracker just so she can check the whereabouts of her husband. She was so almost sure that he’s having an affair but it turned out he was just meeting with his fantasy football friends to get away from the tension at home. I told her he’ll never hurt her but she wouldn’t believe me unless she’s proven his innocence. She can be a little crazy sometimes but now that she’s 6 months pregnant, she’s gotten so paranoid her husband couldn’t relax around her anymore. Fortunately now, she realized how ridiculous she was that she’s going to exert more effort to be her old self. She said she’ll follow my advice to focus on the arrival of their baby and to remember to shop whenever she’s starting to have negative thoughts.

Green Cards

Ever heard of recycled Christmas cards? At first I thought it was about re-using Christmas cards but I soon learned that they are talking about used materials. And what a great idea right? Sending “green” Christmas cards will not only make someone happy but you’ll also be helping the environment. I may try one of them this Christmas so I can do my part as well. They are really trendy and cheap – it cost as much as ordinary cards if not less. That or I could just make one of my own using recycled paper.

Thank God It’s Friday

I’ve been back to work since Thursday. I know they (boss and coworkers) are all busy but I’m happy that they didn’t automatically turn the projects over to me. For two days, I was taking it easy and just working on some minor design stuff. Luckily, it’s a Friday so just in case they are just warming up in bombarding me with design requests, I still have the weekend to get ready.

Just thinking about working again while trying to take care of a newborn is stressing me out. I really hope I can be a supermom and manage my time well. With Meg having gas so she couldn’t sleep straight and Sandy wanting attention at the same time, not mentioning the sleepless nights for the past two weeks, I believe I’m about to pass out. And so’s The Husband, I’m sure.

Working Mom

I have no clue about motorhome repairs and yet my client insists that I’ll do a better job in researching than him. I sincerely doubt that now that I have a newborn who breast feeds every hour and a half. I just can’t seem to focus anymore whether it’s a research or editing job, let alone a full blown web site design project.

It’s just like what the character of the book Yummy Mummy said, she just can’t see herself working in PR again now that she’s surrounded with nappies, baby toys, spilled baby food and the A-Zs of baby diseases. And that’s coming from someone who has a one year maternity leave. Anyway, I still like to work but if I had to choose between working, eating or sleeping, I’d always choose a solid 2-hour nap.

P Series

image I want a Sony VAIO P series in pink. Why? Because my DELL Studio 17 is just too big for my lap. I’d rather not bring it to travels/out of town trips if I can help it. Not only it takes up so much space, but all my most important files and projects are stored there. As much as possible, I try not to turn it on unless I need to do something that I can’t do on my iPhone.

Anyway, maybe the P series will be overdoing it especially now that I’m trying to save all my sideline earnings for Sandy’s birthday. Still, I love how small and chic it looks. I’m thinking it will be better than iPad for the fact that you can install more web design applications.

Sleepless Nights

… are here again. But I’m ready this time so bring it on!

:)

To-Do’s

Oh my, I am so swamped with work! Here’s a list of what I need to do just this morning.

1. Find a cheap postcard printing. We need to print 2000 pcs to promote our new web development package to Dentists and Orthodontists.

2. Send updated marketing materials – letterhead, mailing labels and businesscard to my client before lunch.

3. Add four new pages to an old project that I’ve been working on for months. It was supposed to go live but the client was very fickle-minded.

4. Do a training on CMS – should take an hour. Well good luck to me. I am positively sure that I can only do item number 1 because Meg wakes up as soon as her head hits the bed.

Getting Ready for Halloween

I know Halloween is not for a couple of months but I’m already checking out the Kids Costumes at HalloweenExpress.com. Why this early? It’s because for the past two Halloweens, I always shop until the last minute for Sandy. We always end up wearing a costume that is too generic or a DIY (see Harry Potter here). This time though, I want to try ordering online just like what my mommy friends do every year. We also have little Meg to dress up now so double the excitement!

For Sandy, I know she’d love this High School Musical Cheerleader or Hannah Montana costume. All of them around $34 or so. We could get her a blonde wig too if she wants. She’s at an age where she knows what she wants and gets to decide what to wear (with our approval, of course!).
