Ann Gish Wish

I’m shopping online for our entry to the white elephant game next week. The budget is less than $30 but I got carried away when I saw the items by ann gish. They’re just beautiful and there’s no way I could ever afford to buy any of them. Still, it doesn’t hurt to look. Who knows, we may get married / renew our vows again and we can put these on our wedding registry.

Happy 4th Month Chuba-Megster

Meg turned 4 months last October 23. She now also weighs 8kg++ as of last weigh in. Imagine how heavy that is and then think about carrying her the whole day and most of the night. I really need to give her yaya some vitamins. :)

At four months, she:

- loves to lie down on her belly

- shouts and fights with her papa (started early :D )

- loves to roll over with our help

- drools and spits and laughs when you act surprised

- hates to lie down on her back, hates her stroller and the bouncer. (just like her ate)

- smiles all the time, especially if she gets what she wants

- wants to sit and stand up (!) at all times

- calls her Ate Sandy ANYE, says EEYII when she wants to be carried and googleegooyahhboo when she’s very happy.

She’s just the cutest! I can’t wait before we can start traveling with her. :)

Blackheads, Eyebags, what’s next?

I wish there’s an easy way to get rid of blackheads on nose. I hate using those pore strips because I read somewhere that they only make the pores bigger. A trip to the dermatologist is out of the question, at least for now because I can’t leave Meg at home. She still refuses to take formula and I don’t have space for storing breast milk in our refrigerator. Anyway, I’ll just be more diligent in cleansing and moisturizing so I don’t have to worry about blackheads anymore. Next step – reducing the bags under my eyes. The darkness I can erase with a concealer but the extra baggage, that one is a bit of a challenge.

Shopping Months

Just finished my Christmas list today. I’m now on the lookout for toy warehouse sales (there are two being held every year) so I can shop for all my godsons and goddaughters. For my clients, I’m choosing between cigar deals of the day, DVDs or any bestsellers. I wanted to give them gourmet food baskets but I’m not sure what their preferences are. They could be allergic to dairy for all I know. I’m shopping for the family last since they don’t necessarily have to be a bargain. This year, we’ll probably just buy one big toy for Sandy and one for Meg because I’m sure they’ll receive tons from friends and relatives. As for the Husband, I already shopped for him online but if he’s nice (translation: willing to drive my anywhere I want), I might surprise him with one more gift. :)

Curvy and Fab

Lipofuze isn’t the solution to my friend’s too tight jeans. It’s the size that she bought that was too small for her. I told her she must get a bigger one but she insists that she is a size 4 although everyone can see that she’s a lovely size 6. I don’t see why that would make a difference for her when she looks so much better in 6. All I can say is, love your body! If you have the confidence, you’ll look fabulous no matter what your size is. Think Jessica Simpson, Salma Hayek and Kimora Lee Simons.

Career in Video Production

A client of mine needs to have a short commercial done but I have zero idea on the actual cost and the design process of making one. So I searched the net for video production companies until I stumbled upon Go2Productions.com. For a few minutes, I forgotten why I was at their web site. I just got distracted by their amazing portfolio and found myself clicking each and every sample clips. No matter how many of them I’ve seen, the next one always seem to be better than the last.

To give you a background, Go2Productions.com is one of those tv production companies that creates corporate videos, web videos, TV commercials, music videos, voice overs and virtual set designs. But according to their site, they are different in such a way that they have their own team of directors, script writers, cinematographers, 2d/3d motion graphics artists, compositors, audio/visual effects in one location.

Happy Thoughts

Tons of movies on my iPhone. Including Coffee Prince – my number one favorite Koreanovela of all time. :)

I’m so close to getting my pre-pregnancy weight back.

Lots of scheduled shopping in the next four weeks. The Husband finally agreed to accompany me to the warehouse sales after I told him how much savings we can get.

New packages arriving in one week. Thanks to my personal online shopper from multiply.

Although I still lack sleep, I’m proud to say that I’m not getting sick at all. I think breastfeeding protects me, not just Meg from the viruses that seem to hover in our household at all times.

More design projects next month. Big ones which means more savings for our future home.

Thin but Weak from Lack of Sleep

Is tired of reading diet pill reviews. Luckily, I won’t have to since I’m now three pounds far from my pre-pregnancy weight. Amazing what breastfeeding can do! And that’s just one of the not so important benefits that comes with breastfeeding. I may be closer to my goal (see previous post) than I originally thought. It’s all good. Now, if only I could just do something about the sleepless nights. It has gotten worse that I’d be happy to pack 5 more pounds if it would mean I could sleep for five hours a day.

My Weight Goal For The Next 8 Months

My goal is to be as thin and as fab as Lucy Torres (see below) before Meg turns one next year (June 2011).

Just so I can wear this on her birthday. Good luck to me!

They say you can always do the pencil trick when checking how skinny your thighs are. It’s very simple. Just put a pencil between your thighs and if it gets stuck there, then it’s a sign to hit the gym. I tried that and no surprise, it didn’t even move. It’s like sticking a pencil into a block of jello.

Jobs Everywhere

Everywhere I look online, I see banking and finance jobs. New graduates are so lucky now that online job sites are available. Before, (and I will not say how many years ago to protect my age) we used to walk from one office to another just so we can drop our resumes. Not all companies have Internet access, let alone email addresses so sending in your resume is out of the question.

With that said, here’s a strip from Dilbert Cartoons. Click to view the larger version.
