Cut Down on Holiday Clutter and Avoid Distracted Driving
Holidays are a wonderful time of the year once you’ve arrived where you’re going and the chaos is behind you. Unfortunately, this percentage of the holidays doesn’t last long, and the rest of the time you feel as if you are constantly running around, trying to get everything ready, with too much to do and not enough time.
Christmas is an especially distracting time of year. There are not only presents to buy, but wrapping paper, tape, scissors, and ribbons to consider. Sometimes you’ve got some leftover wrapping paper and such from the year before, but more often than not, it just feels nice to package everything in something fresh. Read more
Take a Mini Vacation with Online Casino Games
Sometimes, you just want a break. Being a parent can be hard work. Though a vacation usually sounds great, it can be a lot harder to actually do. Coming up with the money, getting the time off work, and doing all the planning for a trip can be frustrating. So, instead, most of us tend to take mini vacations. Whether this is zoning out in front of the television or a video game, or playing some online casino games, taking mini vacations can be a great outlet, and they don’t have to cost much (or anything at all!).
Migo’s and Sam’s Birthday Party Photos
We attended two more birthday parties this month. Aside from early Christmas parties, the month of November is usually fully booked with birthday parties from the MBAP/Twitter family.
The first party was the joint celebration of Sam and Migo. Love the Safari theme and the newly renovated Greenmeadows. Sandy had so much fun playing in the playground with her Papa while I had an amazing time catching up with the ladies while taking advantage of the yummy food carts!

Dealing with a Financial Emergency
Do you have a plan in place for dealing with financial emergencies? Do you realize that being unprepared for a financial emergency can cause you to drown in financial debt very quickly? If you want to avoid drowning in debt due to an unexpected financial emergency, then what you need to do is to develop some kind of plan for what you are going to do if something happens. What if your car broke down or your bank account over drafted unexpectedly, causing a bounced check? What if you were suddenly injured and could not afford the emergency room charges?
Where would you turn? Would you turn to Payday One for a payday loan, beg your parents for some cash, or sell something valuable and precious? Would you turn to a pawn shop for a loan, or a bank, or a private lender? Would you wait for an insurance payout, host a garage sale or find some other manner of raising cash fast? There is a wide variety of different avenues that you can pursue, but which one is best going to get you out of that financial jam while you have a chance to pay the charges before the debt snowballs into something much more menacing?
Black Friday Purchasing Advice
Each year, many families get ready for one of the biggest shopping days of the year. It’s the day after Thanksgiving, and it’s known as Black Friday. Many of us wait in line just to get our hands on the door buster deals. However, did you know that there are many reasons you may not actually be able to take advantage of those deals?
Before you get payday loans and head to the stores, here are some things you should know:
• There may only be a limited number of items available at the advertised special price. This is especially true for big ticket items such as televisions and appliances. Many stores may only stock four or five of the item. Retailers basically use these specials to lure shoppers into their stores.
Early Christmas Party with Twitter Friends
Since all of us are mostly busy during December weekends, my online friends and I decided to do a very early Christmas Party with our families. As always, it was a blast! Food, laughter and the prizes for the kids’ games are overflowing which isn’t any surprised at all since there were lots of sponsors who are more than willing to send their love through Paypal. I was once again touched by how generous these ladies could be. We came to the party bearing three gifts but went home with a huge paper bag filled to the brim with presents.

And last but not the least, the super wild White Elephant game! We had so much fun with this one that blogging about it just wouldn’t be enough. See the photos and take a glimpse of what happened.
These are just some of the photos but I’m sure you get the picture, pun intended. Our family is growing rapidly we’ll definitely need a bigger space next year!
Choosing a Christmas Gift for Your Wife
Choosing a gift for your wife at Christmas is a minefield – the expectations are high and if you get it wrong you will be hearing about it for a long time to come.
For this reason it is time for you to start thinking ahead and planning a gift that will leave her glowing with delight, instead of glowering with anger.
How Do I Know What my Wife Wants for Christmas?
Discovering what your wife wants is simple, if you open your ears and listen. When you are getting ready to go out for an evening together does she make comments about what she wishes she had to wear? If your wife says “I wish I had a bracelet that would go with this dress.” Then she is hinting that a gift from somewhere like Scott Kay is the way forward. Maybe she complains that she is running out of her favorite scent? In this case, all you need to do is get yourself along to the store and buy her a new bottle – or maybe a gift set featuring additional products with the fragrance that you know she loves.
Wish List for Black Friday
Black Friday is just around the corner. Everyone I know, even the guys who swore they hate shopping, are getting excited on what kind of sales the stores will offer. For me, I’m only interested to buy the following:
Luxury bed linens – similar to the ones that you see from 5-star hotels. I can never afford the regular price but if it’s a 50% or better yet, 70% off, you can bet I’ll be the first in line of campers. These sets below remind me of our current bed sheets except for the 1200-1500 thread count. I just love these colors and they will complement the furniture in our master bedroom.
Netbooks or iPad (I wish!). For when I’m on the bed (breastfeeding Meg) or outside, meeting with a client.
Tory Burch Reva ballerina flats. Make them 70% off and I’ll be grateful for a couple of months.
32″-42″ LCD TV set. Not for me but for The Husband whose greatest wish this year is to have a huge TV set where he can watch F1.
Too Expensive For Kids
It seems every little boy I know has a psp these days. Kids are so lucky they can have toys that are as expensive as my previous mobile phone! I was close to buying Sandy her own psp too when I saw how she enjoys playing with her uncle’s. But then I realize at the last minute that it’s too pricey for a kid her age. She was only four at the time, after all. Also, whenever the Husband wants something for the same price, we discuss and compute our budget before we decide if we’ll even buy it. But when it comes to Sandy, all reasoning goes out of the window. Luckily, I was able to restrain myself. And I know I did the right thing after reading this article on how we should help the kids to maximize their creativity by giving them toys where they can pretend, build and think.
