First Tooth Out
Sandy lost her first tooth last night. When she woke up, she was disappointed to see that the tissue paper used to cover the tooth was still under her pillow. She was about to cry so I told her to open it and when she saw what’s inside, she happily shouted – “Wow, she came! The tooth fairy came! My tooth is gone and she left one million pesos!”. Upon inspecting closely, “ooh, it’s twenty pesos pala”. (sorry, cheap si tooth fairy
)
I just snagged this from my FB wall but will update it as soon as I get a chance!
Tech Jobs Everywhere
I’m so happy to see that there are so many tech jobs online. Back when I was starting to work, online job sites like this doesn’t exist at all. Which is why I think newly graduates are so lucky because of this technology. You can even conduct interviews online using Skype! It’s very convenient and a huge plus since most newly grads don’t have money to spare for transportation and food. Personally, I like the idea being interviewed online. That way, you won’t waste each other’s time if it turns out that the candidate doesn’t fit the criteria after all.
Fitness Pants
Was searching for girls shorts when I came across a site selling Yoga clothes. Not that I do yoga (que horror! all those stretching!) but I do like how comfortable the pants look. I haven’t totally shed off my post-pregnancy pounds around the hip so my old walking shorts are a bit tight. Who knows? Maybe I could convince myself to hit the treadmill again or do some dance routines while entertaining Meg and Sandy.
On second thought, not in this lifetime unless I gain more than 10 lbs again!
Wish Granted
No. I am not trying to lose weight. But even if that’s the case, whenever I see a link that says “weight loss supplements here“, I just can’t stop myself from clicking it. Force of habit probably. And speaking of weight, I’m so happy I’m close to meeting my weight goal. Such an early Christmas gift and I didn’t even have to kill myself over it. Thank you breastfeeding! You made one momma truly happy. Not mentioning one healthy baby to boot!
Sleepless Again
Just read some proactive reviews without understanding them. I’m afraid my brain isn’t working after only having two hours of sleep last night. I want to say how I’m looking forward to at least a five-hour uninterrupted sleep but seeing how Meg is like her Ate when it comes to sleeping, I don’t want to keep my hopes up. The upside is although Meg refuses to sleep longer than her usual 1.5 hours, she is a low-maintenance baby. You can leave her on the bed with all her toys and she can amuse herself for more than 25 minutes. Now that she’s learning how to crawl, we need to put her on her walker if ever her yaya or I need to do something.
Restaurant Deals
Check out the deals/vouchers that I bought and want to buy ever since these voucher web sites started appearing.
More of this and one of us will need one of those thermogenic fat burners being advertised online. I’m a sucker for deals like these. As soon as I see how much I’m supposed to be saving, I just can’t stop myself from buying them! After all, we always go out to eat so why not try out the restaurants that we wouldn’t normally go to unless they are on sale. Well, turns out the savings aren’t that great if you’ll hoard them like I do. Instead of saving money, I spend them buying these vouchers without any special occasion in mind, not knowing when we’ll be able to use them at all.
Goal – A New Machine
Geez. I forgot to check the Cyber Monday deals last week. I heard from a friend that they had a lot of Macbooks on sale and some really nice boots from Steve Madden. I wonder when I will ever be able to purchase my first mac? Whenever I start a budget, I get excited and almost delirious from too much wanting. But as soon as I am $100-$150 short, something really cool comes up. Like a great deal on iPhone, Camera, furniture or a travel package that’s just too good to be true. Next year, I vow to get my Macbook Pro by hook or by crook. I only have a few months left before they release the new MBPs so I should start saving all those sideline earnings again.
All About Design
I am gushing over the designer upholstery fabric that my client showed me today. He’s in the interior design business and I order for me to have a grasp of what he’s trying to do to his clients, he sent me some fabric samplers for some of the items that he’ll be selling online. He told me to get my design inspiration from the said swatches and to keep thinking out of the box for his website. This thought made me so excited to start some mockups because I already have a specific layout in mind as soon as I saw his fabric. Wish me luck! I rarely get creative projects such as this and I’m just ecstatic to show him what my design plan.
A Photo Shoot with my Girls
I can’t believe I’m only posting this now. We had this shoot the morning after our Christmas party with Dakulpipol. We didn’t have time to change Meg’s outfit since we didn’t want to ruin her mood. As for her Ate, well, she’s starting to differentiate nice shots from blurred ones so she cooperated. The Husband was actually just playing with the camera but when we saw how nice the lighting was, we decided to do a mini-shoot.
I just can’t stop staring at these! Sandy looks like a little lady and our very own Chuba-meg is just adorable with her trademark big, toothless grins. Beats paying expensive photo shoots when The Husband is feeling inspired.
Investing Again
A friend finally went and invested on gold bars. She’s very careful when taking financial risks and does her research thoroughly. Because of that, I’m thinking if I should start looking into this type of investment myself. My friend was encouraging me to invest on gold coins for a long time but it’s either I’ve spent the budget for something else or the market was down so I was being careful on touching our funds. Let’s see if she can convince me again this time. The reason why I want to look into it again is because our mutual fund seems to stop growing last year. It’s time to think of alternatives because before we know it, we’ll be sending both of our girls to big school.
