Holiday Photo Opps
Christmas is just a few days away. I’m happy to note that our lights in the living room has just been upgraded so I’m excited to have our annual family photo shoot. I hope Sandy will cooperate this year. She’s been a little stubborn lately and I’m worried she will choose that exact moment to throw a tantrum. I’ll have to make sure she’ll wear something that she likes, her footwear will not be too tight and that she had enough sleep or rest so she won’t have any reason to be cranky. Threats don’t work anymore since she’ll most likely end up crying, therefore ruining the kodak-happy-moment. So yeah, all I can really do aside from the mentioned above is hope that the family will have at least ONE happy, nicely shot photo as a memento for 2010.
Shopping for Pants
I’m just loving equestrian clothing! I’ve been seeing these really cute riding pants from fab women at the mall and it’s all I can do to stop myself from asking where they got them. Then one morning, I saw a commercial of Australia and in it was Nicole Kidman, wearing the cutest equestrian pants. So now that I know what to call them, my first stop is Google so I can find something similar. However, the problem with buying pants online is you never know how it will fit. Which is why I am now itching to go to the local bazaars hoping that I can find a nice pair that will fit my expanding hips and thighs. Luckily, this style can hide all the ugly bulges!
Dakul Christmas 2010
Another early Christmas party this year. It’s barely first week of December and we’ve already attended two Christmas parties. This one was with our old colleagues and now closest friends. I’m glad to see that the family is growing and that all the kids are well behaved! There were more this year and we even managed to find one of our long lost friends. It was so good to see these guys in one room again.
Speaking of rooms, I just love our 2-bedroom in Astoria Plaza. It was huge enough for the kids to run around and lots of seating area for the adults. But maybe that’s because we never really cared if we sit on the floor or table as long as have fun.
These are just some of the photos but you could see that we’re still the same old crazy group.
The party was indeed, a success considering the last minute planning and invitations. The kids didn’t throw a tantrum (although one of them was sick
), the adults were all happy with their gifts from the white elephant game and everyone seemed glad to catch up, laugh and tease even if the food weren’t enough for all of us.
Kids and Their Wish Lists
Just saw the wish list of my 3-yr-old niece – an Elmo bath towel set or Elmo plush toy. She has other items from her list so I’ll make sure to text her my cousin to tell her I’ll be getting her the Elmo stuff. Shopping for godkids, nephews and nieces are a breeze now thanks to technology! Just read their parents’ walls on facebook or blogs and voila, no need to ask them what they need. You can surprise them or like in my case, tell them you’re buying the item so they can take it off her wish list. As for Sandy, her only wish as of this writing – Beados.
Cig Option
For those who want to try out the electronic cigarette, I saw some being sold for $59.95 at the smoketip store. It’s a great gift for the modern smokers. The smokeless design lets you smoke without worry in public places. It releases vaporized nicotine automatically and has large selection of flavors including menthol. According to the website, it’s more affordable compared to traditional tobacco cigarettes. And the fact that you don’t have to inhale smoke and tar makes it a healthier option.
Welcome December!
Started my December just right. First, I paid all of the items that I shopped for during Black Friday so I’m debt-free as of this writing. Next, I threw away most of our junk – bills, invoices, company letters, old and non-working appliances. Lastly, I balanced our checkbook and finalized my remaining Christmas list. So now I feel so organized, energized and excited knowing it’s only a few more days before my favorite holiday! How about you? Are you done with your Christmas shopping? I’m glad we started early so now we can just concentrate on buying stuff for Sandy and Meg.
