I’m still high from our Christmas party last Saturday night! I see most of these guys monthly but not so much the others who live in the province. To say that it was a great night will be an understatement. We decided to have movies as our theme which was a good call since everyone got so excited to come as their favorite characters.
It was the first time that we got to use our mobile studio outside the house too. I just had to push for that since everyone took extra effort in dressing up. Of that, you will soon see on the photos below.
My friends are just too competitive words! They were all holding out on us – secretive on what they are doing, who they were going as, etc. The party turned out really great which is always the case when you are surrounded with good friends.

Tasty Treats on a Basket
After visiting this online store that sells Gift Baskets for Men, I knew exactly what to give to my boss for his birthday. I was planning to spend less than $35 so I got pretty excited when I saw the gourmet cheese and snacks package. He’s not a connoisseur but he loves all kinds of gourmet snacks especially cheese. I’m pretty sure he will love my gift as soon as I figured out where I can send it.

More of this and one of us will need one of those thermogenic fat burners being advertised online. I’m a sucker for deals like these. As soon as I see how much I’m supposed to be saving, I just can’t stop myself from buying them! After all, we always go out to eat so why not try out the restaurants that we wouldn’t normally go to unless they are on sale. Well, turns out the savings aren’t that great if you’ll hoard them like I do. Instead of saving money, I spend them buying these vouchers without any special occasion in mind, not knowing when we’ll be able to use them at all.
The Most Delicious Teas
As a tea lover, I’m always looking for new flavors. Recently, while at my favorite café, I had a delicious blueberry rooibos that absolutely blew my taste buds away. I asked the barista where they had gotten it, and she gave me brochures for a company called Rishi Tea.
Since then, I’ve learned that Rishi has a wide range of unique flavors. Every one that I have tried has been just as impressive as that first cup of blueberry rooibos.
Rishi actually has lots of different types of teas. I’m a big fan of the caffeine-free blends because I can drink them at any time of the day or night without worrying about whether they will disrupt my sleep. No Sweets Policy

I had a few bites, okay maybe ten spoon fulls of this when we watched SATC2 last Saturday. I just can’t help it! It’s calling my name. I wouldn’t be able to stop if not for The Husband who was so “kind” to remind me that I’m about to finish the cake. I immediately gave it to him so I could stop eating. However, I could still smell and taste it, even now just by looking at the picture.
Anyway, the reason why I’m not allowed to eat sweets anymore is because upon last ultrasound, the bambina weighs 6.5 lbs. I’m on my 37th week now and doing what I can to eat healthy so the labor will be easy for the both of us. Wish us luck!

There is no such thing as best diet pills for women if you eat this everyday. Seriously, why diet when you can have this?
This is a spinach and artichoke fondue from CYMA.

It is my absolute favorite thing to eat there that I get frustrated whenever it’s not available. The quantity is perfect for just me and The Husband but of course, we’ll still have to order a salad and an entree afterwards. Sandy loves this too but not as much as she loves dipping the pita in yoghurt or picking all the olives from the Roka salata.
Weekend Round Up
Spent our Saturday morning at Dra. Villar’s clinic in Makati Med for Sandy’s follow up check up. We were told her skin is looking better (she has skin asthma) and that we should continue with the treatment for 3 more days. She gave us new skin care for maintenance too. Expensive products, I tell you so I hope they really work and that she’s not just selling her products.
Went to Glorietta and SM Makati after that to look for Harry Potter robes. Sadly, there were none. So we decided on a grim reaper instead then we’ll just have my mom fix it to fit Sandy. We then bought her a white formal shirt, a necktie with gold in it and a pair of eyeglasses. I kept suggesting different costumes while we were searching for the perfect robe but she was adamant that she’ll go as Harry. One time I told her to go as Little Mermaid instead and she said, “But you said I will be Harry! Let’s just ask Grandma to make me a robe. She’s very good! She’s a good clothesmaker” (bwahahaha). I’m sure her grandma will be happy to hear that.
We also looked for her United Nations Day costume – Netherlands but was surprised that SM didn’t have them. I saw plenty of choices last year from Kultura but now they told me they only sell Filipiniana stuff.
We checked some tile prices too so I can compare them with the ones online. I want to make sure it’s really cheaper if we get online.

When we’re done grocery shopping at Rustan’s we went home expecting to have a long quiet night. But to our pleasant surprise, cousin Chloe was home. Imagine the shrieks and excitement that followed. To be continued …
