Dakul Christmas 2010
Another early Christmas party this year. It’s barely first week of December and we’ve already attended two Christmas parties. This one was with our old colleagues and now closest friends. I’m glad to see that the family is growing and that all the kids are well behaved! There were more this year and we even managed to find one of our long lost friends. It was so good to see these guys in one room again.
Speaking of rooms, I just love our 2-bedroom in Astoria Plaza. It was huge enough for the kids to run around and lots of seating area for the adults. But maybe that’s because we never really cared if we sit on the floor or table as long as have fun.
These are just some of the photos but you could see that we’re still the same old crazy group.
The party was indeed, a success considering the last minute planning and invitations. The kids didn’t throw a tantrum (although one of them was sick
), the adults were all happy with their gifts from the white elephant game and everyone seemed glad to catch up, laugh and tease even if the food weren’t enough for all of us.
On The Plus Side
I just receive another baby shower invite on the mail today. It’s my 3rd this month but I’m afraid I still won’t be able to make it. The thing is, Meg still refuses to take formula for when I’m outside only. We also couldn’t store milk anymore because one of our refrigerators broke down. In short, I’m on house arrest unless Meg comes with me to wherever I need to. Anyway, I know this phase will pass quickly so I’m not worried. I just regret not being able to join my friends’ shower parties. I’ll just make sure I order the plus size corsets that the bride-to-be requested. That or the two-piece, red lingerie that I saw on sale at the mall last week. This friend of mine is very proud of her curves so I’m pretty excited to shop for her honeymoon outfits.
Read More, Know More
It has been three years since I gave presents to my goddaughter in the US. She’s now 9 years old and since I have no idea what girls her age want, I asked her mom to send me a wishlist from her. Although there were dereon items (which I think is way too mature for her age), tween make-up kits and nail arts, I was very happy to note that she has several books listed as well. I love that she’s into books now knowing how she hated to study the last time I talked to her in person. So yes, I’m getting her all the titles that she wants to encourage her to read more. Soon she’ll have friends that might influence her to like other things but if she’s gotten so hooked about reading, then there’s nothing anybody could do to make her forget how fun books can be.
Partying with the Princesses
Bela’s Princess Party – The Creamery
This party was actually for Sandy.
Let’s start with the venue. Since it was a little small if the parents will stay inside, I had to leave Sandy on her own. Good thing she let me, it was her first time too! I tried to check on her from time to timeĀ but during the last part of the party, I saw that she’s doing fine with her friends. So I just let her be while I enjoyed the quiet time chatting with the mommies. Meg, as expected, slept through the party. Such a low maintenance baby! The kids/princesses had so much fun having their hair done, making their own ice cream, watching the magic and puppet show while hoarding tons of prizes, as always!
I’m really glad we went to these parties. Sandy’s having some minor attention issues now that we have Meg so she needs a lot of time outside with kids her own age. We’re also planning on enrolling her to a ballet or art class so she can put some of her energy there.
Migo’s and Sam’s Birthday Party Photos
We attended two more birthday parties this month. Aside from early Christmas parties, the month of November is usually fully booked with birthday parties from the MBAP/Twitter family.
The first party was the joint celebration of Sam and Migo. Love the Safari theme and the newly renovated Greenmeadows. Sandy had so much fun playing in the playground with her Papa while I had an amazing time catching up with the ladies while taking advantage of the yummy food carts!
Early Christmas Party with Twitter Friends
Since all of us are mostly busy during December weekends, my online friends and I decided to do a very early Christmas Party with our families. As always, it was a blast! Food, laughter and the prizes for the kids’ games are overflowing which isn’t any surprised at all since there were lots of sponsors who are more than willing to send their love through Paypal. I was once again touched by how generous these ladies could be. We came to the party bearing three gifts but went home with a huge paper bag filled to the brim with presents.

And last but not the least, the super wild White Elephant game! We had so much fun with this one that blogging about it just wouldn’t be enough. See the photos and take a glimpse of what happened.
These are just some of the photos but I’m sure you get the picture, pun intended. Our family is growing rapidly we’ll definitely need a bigger space next year!
Shopping Months
Just finished my Christmas list today. I’m now on the lookout for toy warehouse sales (there are two being held every year) so I can shop for all my godsons and goddaughters. For my clients, I’m choosing between cigar deals of the day, DVDs or any bestsellers. I wanted to give them gourmet food baskets but I’m not sure what their preferences are. They could be allergic to dairy for all I know. I’m shopping for the family last since they don’t necessarily have to be a bargain. This year, we’ll probably just buy one big toy for Sandy and one for Meg because I’m sure they’ll receive tons from friends and relatives. As for the Husband, I already shopped for him online but if he’s nice (translation: willing to drive my anywhere I want), I might surprise him with one more gift.
Curvy and Fab
Lipofuze isn’t the solution to my friend’s too tight jeans. It’s the size that she bought that was too small for her. I told her she must get a bigger one but she insists that she is a size 4 although everyone can see that she’s a lovely size 6. I don’t see why that would make a difference for her when she looks so much better in 6. All I can say is, love your body! If you have the confidence, you’ll look fabulous no matter what your size is. Think Jessica Simpson, Salma Hayek and Kimora Lee Simons.

The Royal Treatment – Sandy’s 5th Birthday
For Sandy’s actual birthday, we decided to go to Rockwell after Meg’s check up. The girls look nice in their matching shirts. Too bad Meg’s was too tight so that will be the last time she’ll use it.
Before the makeover.

She was over the moon, I tell you. After all, it’s not everyday that she can wear nail polish and have make up on (blush and lipstick). As for her hair (she chose yellow and purple), she almost cried when I told her we need to wash it before she goes to bed that night.
Baby Meg
Our very late lunch with Ninong Zer. Thanks for the baptism and birthday photos Z!
It was a simple yet very happy day for the Ate. She kept asking when we can do it again.
