Hello There!
Just some photos of mi bebes and moi. Most of them taken at St. Lukes Global City, where we’ve been hanging out lately. Yes, the kids are getting sick (again and it’s only January) but that’s Philippines + allergies for you. Hope you’re all having a great day!
A photo of your truly, because I know you miss me.

The Yo-Yo
I’ve been reading sensa reviews the whole morning since I wanted to verify how healthy it is. A friend of mine wants to test diet supplements again but after her recent hospitalization (2 months ago), I want to make sure she’s not taking anything she’s not supposed to. I hope she can finally meet her weight goal. It doesn’t have to be unbelievably skinny which is what she was aiming for but something healthy at least that she will start to feel great about herself. Ever since she started dieting 5 months ago, she managed to lose 10-20lbs only to gain it back again in a few weeks. I know how unhealthy it is so I do my best to force her to exercise, eat healthy and research first before trying anything.
Goodbye Healthy Skin
I wish I still have my pregnancy glow. (Just the glow, not another baby)
Now I have the skin agents will pay for just so they can feature me as the BEFORE photo on their beauty product commercial. Luckily, it’s not something that will make me research how to get rid of acne fast for hours, knowing there’s no tried and tested way that will fit everyone. Still, I already have two huge black bags under my eyes so the absence of skin breakouts would be greatly appreciated. I am too tired at the end of the day to do something about it (can’t even find the time to brush my hair after a bath) so I’ll just wait until Meg is one before I do one of those twice a day, one-hour beauty regimens.
Exercise for The Lazy Ones
Speaking of diets, my cousin-in-law has a blog that features all kinds of fast diets that work. I visited it a few times and I would recommend it to my friends who are interested to lose some extra pounds. Aside from diets, she also writes about healthy and easy workouts that you can do in front of the computer, while playing with the kids or while out doing an errand.
I will try the tummy squeezes myself because although I am now back to my old weight, I couldn’t say the same to my used to be flat belly. I ate everything and anything I could put my hands on while I was pregnant with Meg and unlike with Sandy, I was very lazy to exercise. After almost 7 months, my hips and tummy area are still huge so I need to do my best to tone them so I can wear my old shorts again.
All is Vanity
Women will never be satisfied with how they look no matter how perfect they seem. It’s a common trait among womenfolk and if you’ve seen Mean Girls with the scene about them commenting on the body parts that they hate, you’ll know what I mean.
Talk of liposuction is always popular especially with moms like me who just have no time to exercise yet loves food with a passion. Not that we could all afford it but we look at it as an option when worse comes to worst. Even the Husband talks about it all the time whenever he gets frustrated about his belly. Based from what I read, a liposuction procedure can take as fast as 1-2 hours only but you will need to stay overnight in a hospital.
Fitness Pants
Was searching for girls shorts when I came across a site selling Yoga clothes. Not that I do yoga (que horror! all those stretching!) but I do like how comfortable the pants look. I haven’t totally shed off my post-pregnancy pounds around the hip so my old walking shorts are a bit tight. Who knows? Maybe I could convince myself to hit the treadmill again or do some dance routines while entertaining Meg and Sandy.
On second thought, not in this lifetime unless I gain more than 10 lbs again!
Blackheads, Eyebags, what’s next?
I wish there’s an easy way to get rid of blackheads on nose. I hate using those pore strips because I read somewhere that they only make the pores bigger. A trip to the dermatologist is out of the question, at least for now because I can’t leave Meg at home. She still refuses to take formula and I don’t have space for storing breast milk in our refrigerator. Anyway, I’ll just be more diligent in cleansing and moisturizing so I don’t have to worry about blackheads anymore. Next step – reducing the bags under my eyes. The darkness I can erase with a concealer but the extra baggage, that one is a bit of a challenge.
No Time to Be Healthy
The Husband needs some Rapid weight loss pills, fast. We just tried on several of his shirts and none of them fit anymore. Either he lose weight or we spend more money on new clothes. I’d rather he lose them, not because of the money but changing sizes every year can turn into a bad habit. To be fair, he’s doing the best that he can to stay healthy. But ever since we had Meg, the sleepless nights and no-rest-weekends are taking its toll on us. So we eat, all the time! I am blessed that I don’t gain weight no matter how much I eat, thanks to breastfeeding. But for him, he really needs to burn all those calories and with work, taking care of the baby, weekend duties (grocery, etc), there’s just no time. We’ll see how it goes next month. He mentioned he wants to lift weights again as soon as our household is back to its old schedule.
Weight Loss for New Moms
For most new moms, losing post-pregnancy weight is always a struggle. After all, having a baby keeps you busy enough that there’s just no time for other things like cleaning the house, working, let alone exercise. Luckily, there are so many weight loss programs out there that women can now choose which one will be perfect for their schedule. The website FitClick.com for one, is a great resource web site with their extensive list of diet plans, free weight loss programs and workout routines. I just love their articles especially the “Ten Tips on how to lose weight“. My top three from that list are:
1. Know what you eat. I’m addicted to numbers so counting calories is just another great way to pass the time while I’m breastfeeding the little one. I’ve researched the most common ingredients so I know what to avoid, which food I should eat less and which ones I can eat everyday.
New Fitness Blog
I stumbled upon this blog called glucomannan today. Normally, I would quickly jump to another page after seeing the first post. But I was glad I stayed for I learned some really interesting info. For one, don’t cross your legs if you want to make them skinny. It says when you cross your legs, the blood circulation slows down, giving you edema. If you’re sitting for a long time, it’s better to put your knees together to reduce the tiredness on your legs. Another is why people get big arms. It’s one of my body parts that I’m not crazy about so reading that bad posture can make them even bigger made me vow to remember to stand straight no matter how tired I am. There are more but it seems the blogger is just getting started in posting articles. I just added it to my blog feeds so I’ll be updated for his next post. I know I can find all of this information via Google but my time is too valuable that I prefer reading stuff through my RSS feeds.
