The Sickies
… are here again. It’s really too bad because you can’t rest, not when the weather is so freakin’ hot. My cough is back again but that’s nothing compared to Sandy’s situation. For the past three days, her fever is on and off. She kept having tummy aches and the latest was her ear infection. We spent the weekend going back and forth to the hospital without any clear remedy. It sucks when all you have to do is wait, monitor and wait some more. It was the first time that I saw her in real pain. Can’t even sleep because her ears hurt. Those were the moments when I wish I was a doctor so I don’t have to rely on someone else to make her feel better.
I do hope she’ll get well soon. It’s their Moving Up day this Saturday and she needs to practice accepting her awards, make her speech and their dance performance. It’s her time to shine and have fun with her classmates before summer starts. She’s supposed to have fun and enjoy the last days of school, not spend them all day in our room, drinking 3 kinds of medicine, having tummy aches and what-not.
I hate this so much. I am close to getting angry to whoever’s responsible for this. Not that I can blame anyone but I just want to.
For the Sake of Vanity
My friend bought phentermine without a prescription online and my first thought was how easy it is to get stuff over the Internet. Do you know that Phentermine has been associated with shortness of breath, chest pain, depression, seizures and insomnia to name a few? Granted it has been proven to make you lose weight fast but is it worth it? I saw from Tyra Banks show a new way of losing weight and that is through ingesting tapeworms. You can lose 20lbs and up and it has plenty of raves and positive reviews all over the Internet. Still, is that enough reason to do something so unhealthy and may I say downright distasteful? Just thinking about it makes me want to throw up.
There are plenty of alternatives out there to help you lose weight yet nothing beats a healthy diet and regular exercise.
Women and Weight
Women struggle with weight all the time. If your extra weight is making you feel less confident or worse, affecting your health, you should consider changing your lifestyle. I love eating myself but I make sure that I get tons of exercise to burn all the fats. On some, diet plans and pills work but you have to research carefully before you try something new. You can learn more about weight loss pills and effective diets all over the Internet. There are also plenty of review websites and health blogs where you can read on the good and the bad. For quick results, pills have proven to be very effective but I would still suggest introducing healthy alternatives to your food and adding some exercise regimen for long term effects.
Winning Skin
I stumbled upon some differin reviews while browsing the web today. Seeing the words itchiness, dryness, irritation and peeling made me cringe automatically. I hate seeing that on people’s faces, let alone mine. Not that I have acne, but I do feel for those who have a bad case of acne. No matter how beautiful your features are, it simply ruins everything. Which is why I understand why people spend money on finding the best treatment. A clear, presentable face is definitely worth it.
Growing Pains
I saw a brochure about arthritis pain treatment from the mail this morning and wondered if I’ll ever need one in a couple of years. Before I got pregnant, I always feel pains all over my back and hands that my mom teases me that I’m too young to have arthritis. Seeing some of my aunties go through it, I know it’s not a laughing matter. If you’ll look at our drawers though, you’d see all kinds of pain relief creams you’d think there’s a 60-year-old living in our room. I couldn’t say I’m better now. All the pains that I feel, mostly on my lower back, I just blame it on my growing belly.
Exercising
My brother wanted me to read an article about no xplode review but told him I have no idea about strength training and all that. It’s like I’ll be doing any heavy exercise or rough activity any time soon! With only 4 months to go on my pregnancy, I’m taking it easy with everything. I sleep a lot, eat a lot (in a healthy way), enjoy activities that I know I wouldn’t have time to when the baby is here. I do exercise but according to baby blogs and forums, I’ll just have to limit it to light workout routines so as not to tire myself too much and the baby.
Skin Problems on Teens
One of the things teenagers has to go through is eczema. Why am I posting about that? It’s because a friend of mine just uploaded this huge batch of high school photos of us and I noticed that most of my friends have skin problems. It wasn’t a big deal back then though, when the only thing that matters is having fun. But it made me wonder if some of them had to undergo treatments? Comparing their faces now to their younger versions 15 yrs ago, I don’t see any traces of bad skin. Either their parents invested in good dermatologists or working hard has finally paid off because we can now all afford to get treatments left and right.
Women and Weight
It seems all I can talk about now is losing weight. From diet plans to weight loss dietary supplement to exercise. Not that I can take any supplements while pregnant but most of my friends are trying to lose weight too. They even have a contest similar to the Biggest Loser and they are doing everything that they can to win. The most effective I’ve seen so far is the South Beach diet. A friend lost 15 lbs in a couple of weeks but it helped that she orders pre-packed SB meals so it was easy. As for me, I’m trying not to gain too much like I did with Sandy. I remember I had to go on diet while I was on my 7th month – no sweets, cookies, chocolate, shakes, pastries, etc. Now, I have to be more careful by hitting the treadmill early and just limiting my rice to one cup.
Healthy Living
Looking the best vitamins for men? Me too, well The Husband that is. He’s just so tired all the time even on weekends when we get to sleep in and have naps in the afternoon. I’m positive it has something to do with his diet. At least now he’s doing his best to exercise by hitting the treadmill every other day. Aside from vitamins or supplements, we’re thinking of staying away from pork and beef starting next week. It should be easy except thinking about different kinds of dishes for fish and chicken can get pretty tricky.
Breastfeeding Diet
I saw a couple of photos of myself when Sandy was only around 8 or 9 months old. I was shocked to see how thin I am even though I remember how I used to eat up to three plates of rice a day. Then I remember. Because Sandy has plenty of allergies when she was younger and I was still breastfeeding, I avoid all kinds of dairy and meat to make sure that she won’t get any of them. No need for best weight loss supplements when you’re in my situation. Seriously. Breastfeeding can definitely help you lose weight but if your diet was like mine, you can be sure that you will return to your old body in seven or eight months tops. Of course, it would be much better if Sandy didn’t have allergies back then. She’d probably be a much happier baby – sleeps longer, eats whatever she wants and healthier. Which is why for our second baby, I don’t really care if it will be a boy or a girl as long as she doesn’t have cross-milk allergy and she’s very healthy.
