Happy 5th Month Meg!
We celebrated Meg’s 5th month yesterday. Here are her photos with her Ate. She was being cranky before dinner but as soon as we changed her clothes, she got very excited and kept smiling at the camera.
At 5 months, she can lie down on her tummy, roll around the bed without any assistance. She’s also starting to sit up, propped with pillows or with someone holding her arm. She looks at food and grabs them, so I’m thinking she’s about ready to have her first solids. Still a happy baby, always ready to laugh with anyone who’s willing to take time to play with her. Still not very good at sleeping through the night (or even 2 hours max) but always wakes up with a huge grin you just can’t help but forget about how tiring the previous night was.
Happy 5th Month Meg. We love you so much!
Migo’s and Sam’s Birthday Party Photos
We attended two more birthday parties this month. Aside from early Christmas parties, the month of November is usually fully booked with birthday parties from the MBAP/Twitter family.
The first party was the joint celebration of Sam and Migo. Love the Safari theme and the newly renovated Greenmeadows. Sandy had so much fun playing in the playground with her Papa while I had an amazing time catching up with the ladies while taking advantage of the yummy food carts!
Early Christmas Party with Twitter Friends
Since all of us are mostly busy during December weekends, my online friends and I decided to do a very early Christmas Party with our families. As always, it was a blast! Food, laughter and the prizes for the kids’ games are overflowing which isn’t any surprised at all since there were lots of sponsors who are more than willing to send their love through Paypal. I was once again touched by how generous these ladies could be. We came to the party bearing three gifts but went home with a huge paper bag filled to the brim with presents.

And last but not the least, the super wild White Elephant game! We had so much fun with this one that blogging about it just wouldn’t be enough. See the photos and take a glimpse of what happened.
These are just some of the photos but I’m sure you get the picture, pun intended. Our family is growing rapidly we’ll definitely need a bigger space next year!

Sandy’s 5th Birthday Party and Meg’s Baptism
Here are the photos from the party held at TGIF, Glorietta. I was so happy that all of those who confirmed came! As I mentioned on my earlier post, we also got five huge bags of gifts from friends and relatives. Ate Sandy was in heaven and I know Meg was happy too even if she just slept most of the time. Her bath from her baptism must have made her sleepy.

The kids were so happy and high (must be from the ice cream) that I can’t help but envy their energy! The parents need hgh supplements not just to feel younger but also to keep up with the kids’ never ending strength and enthusiasm. I remember ten years ago how I could stay up to the wee hours of the morning drinking and dancing. And I still need to go to work in a few hours after that! Anyway, I digress. I wasn’t going to hire a magician but at the last minute, I decided to get one. And I’m glad I did. I can’t believe I forgot how Sandy loves magic tricks. When we went home, all she did was copy the tricks that she saw and “performed” in front of Meg.
It was adorable!

Again, thanks Jojo and Alpha for these photos.
Most of these are with my online friends. Hopefully, I can get the batch from our friend Zer so I can see other faces as well. Too bad his computer had to be repaired at the last minute, which means we’ll have to wait.
Party with the Girls!
We just finished the party of my two babies yesterday. It was Sandy’s 5th birthday party and also a celebration for Meg’s baptism.
No photos yet but here’s a quick story: Sandy was a little bit cranky at first but she perked up upon hearing that we will eat first before the games and entertainment. Turned out she was really hungry – she had two plates of the kiddie meal from TGIF! After that, I could see that she was enjoying herself. Meg, on the other hand, was happy to just breastfeed and sleep. A very low-maintenance baby, that’s what she is. Even at the church, she didn’t cry when the priest submerged half of her body into the water. Thank God for that! I was able to enjoy the party with relatives and friends without feeling too harassed from taking care of the girls.
We are so thankful to our guests who took time to celebrate with us. The girls received five huge bags of gifts from oh-so-pretty clothes, shoes, accessories, bags, books, drawing stuff, and all kinds of toys! I won’t be shopping anytime soon, that’s for sure!
Watch out for the photos, will be posting them as soon as I got them from my two photographer friends, Z and Jojo.
Increasing Breast Milk
Since I managed to breastfeed Sandy for almost three years, new moms always ask me how they can increase breast milk production. My number one answer is to breast feed round the clock. They say that breastfed babies should feed every two hours but I say don’t watch the time. Feed on demand. And if you can, try pumping on the other breast while the baby is sucking. You’d be surprised at how much milk you can store in a few minutes. It’s also important that you are calm, well rested and feel positive that breastmilk will come out of your body. Try not to stress too much about how much you can express or feed. As long as your baby is happy, there’s nothing to worry about. Never let more than two hours pass without feeding or expressing. If your breast becomes engorged, you can do a manual pump (with your hands) to relieve yourself from the pain and to also tell your body that it needs to produce more milk.
Getting Ready for Halloween
I know Halloween is not for a couple of months but I’m already checking out the Kids Costumes at HalloweenExpress.com. Why this early? It’s because for the past two Halloweens, I always shop until the last minute for Sandy. We always end up wearing a costume that is too generic or a DIY (see Harry Potter here). This time though, I want to try ordering online just like what my mommy friends do every year. We also have little Meg to dress up now so double the excitement!
For Sandy, I know she’d love this High School Musical Cheerleader or Hannah Montana costume. All of them around $34 or so. We could get her a blonde wig too if she wants. She’s at an age where she knows what she wants and gets to decide what to wear (with our approval, of course!).
Birthday Celeb and Baby Shower with the MBAPs
I had an amazing afternoon yesterday as we celebrated my birthday with the other June celebrants – Jane, Jacqui and Jody at Conti’s Greenbelt. They also gave me and Abie (who was absent) a baby shower. It was fun seeing the ladies again. They all look so fab and hot there’s no doubt one of them will get pregnant alongside Apple before the year ends!
The food was good although the Contis’ staff were a little strict when it comes to the schedule of their function rooms. We had cake overload but no, I didn’t take a bite. Not even one! That’s how good I am in following my OB’s orders. Also, my weight gain is so huge I’d go on a diet myself! This also explains my expanding nose plus the fact that my OB said we’re going to meet the baby any day now.
Anyway, let me share a few photos from yesterday. I will post all of them on Flickr and Facebook.

Jollibee Party with Glo
Glo loves Jollibee food so where else should we hold the kids’ party aside from her beloved fast-food chain?
Sandy finally met Tee-Tee Glow! Never knew this would happen but it did.

Always the winner – the mommies!

Last but not the least, the Ms. Gay, ahem, Ms. Universe contestants. Some photos are not for public viewing, I’m afraid hahaha. But you can bet these ladies would love to turn this short modeling contest into full time careers
I would’ve loved to join the rest of them for dinner by the bay but we had to attend a very special post-wedding celebration of one of our friends. We only had enough time to bring Sandy home, get a few minutes rest before we got ready for the party. I was also so tired by 4PM and wasn’t sure if we can even make it to the wedding. But luckily, the party isn’t that strict so even if we were two hours late, we still had about six hours left to mingle and drink (mocktail in my case).
