We didn’t get to try the costume until it was only an hour before the event. Thank God it was a perfect fit and that we were able to convince her to put on the veil.

Happy Friday

… or not. I.AM.SO.STRESSED. And I’m not even done with work. However, I’m going to take a break tonight and join The Husband for a short night out with some of his cousins. It’s a family obligation that I’m very happy to do. God knows my body (and mind) could use a drink. When I get back, hoping that Sandy is already asleep, you can bet that I’ll continue to work, depending on how many I’ve had to drink.

My schedule:
Saturday - work in the morning. Shopping for Sandy’s gown. Work again when we get back.
Sunday - out of town wedding. Won’t be back till Monday. I’ll bring my laptop so I can work at the hotel.

I should be celebrating the weekend. We rarely have road trips but at this moment, all I want to do is sleep beside Sandy. I just miss her so much. Too bad she has a cold so she can’t come with us tonight.

MBAP Party Photos

Here are the photos from the recent MBAP Christmas/Baby Shower Party! The party was held at Jane’s mansion ;). The play area helped a lot in keeping the keeps entertained so the parents can eat in peace and gossip with each other. I made another post about the MBAP Party here so I’ll just post the highlights of the party and the photos (taken by The Husband).

MBAP Party

I’m done resizing the photos, finally! Sadly, I ran out of time so I won’ be posting them until tomorrow ;) Need to work first and pay the bills you know.

Just a preview for now.

The Twitter EB

Let’s start with the Twitter EB party first. I’m still waiting for photos from Alpha but I’ll post the ones from Kathy here.

I went to Citadel Inn first without Sandy and The Husband so the little one can nap. Before I left, I showed The Husband the bags that we needed to bring and his first reaction was “What? Lahat to????”. This is probably the reason why he didn’t bring our camera. To punish me LOL. Nah, if you saw what I’ve packed, you’d forget about the cam too.

More on Web Hosting

I’m still searching for multiple domain hosting. A friend offered to share but since we both have too many blogs, we’re thinking of just getting a new one. I’ve seen several webhosting packages at Webhostrating.com that offers unlimited space and bandwidth. We’re just comparing the prices so we can get the cheapest and yet most reliable. The Web Host Rating site is really a great place to start when you’re shopping for hosting. It’s easy to find what you need whether it’s UNIX, windows, reseller or VPS, dedicated or colocation that you’re looking for. What I find useful all the time is the “Hosting Awards” section. T.G.I.F.

Plenty of things to be thankful for this Friday.

Someone is really kicking ass at work. Namely me. I realized that I can be very productive if I wake up at 6AM. My boss “gave” me a pat on the back and the one I’m working with my project was very impressed at how fast I am. Honestly, the work is pretty simple. It’s the process of finding files and updating that was really a problem.

United Nations program in Sandy’s school. Sandy came as Ms. India, wearing a custom made dress by my mom, veil and bindi. At first she was pretty psyched to wear a different gown. But after a couple of minutes in school, she threw tantrums and cried because she wanted to be with mommy. When it was time for her to perform, she stood on the stage and did her part. She wasn’t smiling of course but at least, she was on stage unlike the other two kids from her class who were bawling their eyes out. After eating time, (there were plenty of food btw) all the kids including Sandy were so high with sugar. She was laughing and dancing nonstop. So I hope next time they’ll feed the kids first before doing the program.

Party! Parteh! And more parties! The much awaited MBAP Christmas Party at Jane’s mansion will be held this Sunday. And on Saturday, it’s going to be the first Twitter Party. I hope Alpha can make it this time LOL. So next week, expect my blogs to be filled with photos and party stories.

Happy Weekend!

Excited Mommy

Tomorrow is United Nation’s Day. Sandy and her classmates have been practicing for weeks and I can’t wait to see them perform their dance. She’s Ms. India so I asked my mom to create a costume for her, with matching shawl. It’s not yet done though! My mom will bring it here tomorrow morning hoping that it will fit. Then The Husband’s co-worker gave her a bindi for her forehead. I can already imagine how adorable she’d look. I had trouble finding a flag for India so I just searched the net and re-created one.

Today, she had rice for her baon because they need to practice for three hours. I really can’t wait. Stage mommy talaga. I’ve been helping her at home with the song and dance. I noticed that when she gets tired of all the dance steps, she makes up new ones. I hope she won’t do this tomorrow! Each student will bring food from their country. I was expecting Indian food for Sandy but her diary said bring a box of pizza. Isn’t that supposed to be from Italy? LOL. Anyway, at least it’s easy.

So till tomorrow then! I’d take plenty of photos promise!

Web Hosting Guides

I receive plenty of questions from bloggers who want to purchase hosting. They all want to move away from their Blogspot hosting so they can use Wordpress. I tell them (and now you) that the most important thing before buying a hosting is do a thorough research. Most of the cheap hosting packages charge for one whole year so you’d have to stick with it even if their service sucks. For research purposes, I frequent web hosting reviews and blogs like Web Hosting Geeks. This site specializes in educating the consumers about all they need to know hosting-wise. From detailed reviews, hosting awards, industry news, latest trends, new products and more. Spending 20 minutes on their web hosting blog alone will help you narrow down your list of web hosting companies. Start with the article “What Type of Hosting Do You Need” to understand the difference of free hosting to shared hosting to dedicated hosting. Read more
